Gregory Campbell To Visit Parkhead ! :| :|

DUP MP Gregory Campbell is to watch Celtic play on their home ground after accepting an invitation from 'Hoops' bosses.
The well-known Rangers and Institute fan was invited to Celtic Park after he and his wife, Frances, were abused by drunken ‘Hoops’ supporters on a ferry crossing from Scotland in September.

At the time, Mr. Campbell said he would take some time to consider the offer from former club chairman, Brian Quinn.

And after some encouragement from new Celtic chairman - and former Northern Ireland Secretary of State - John Reid, the East Derry MP has said he now hopes to watch the ‘Bhoys’ play before the end of this season.

"The new chair is John Reid and of course I know him very well from his time as Secretary of State.

“He was joking with me and we had a chat and I told him I am hopeful that I can get to Parkhead before the end of the season, although nothing has been arranged yet."

At the time of the incident, Mr. Campbell told the Telegraph that he acknowledged that only a very small minority of supporters were behind the sectarian rants aimed at his wife and himself.

"I realise that this was the effort of a small number of sectarian bigots and not representative of all supporters," said the East Derry MP, MLA.
