Thomas Gravesen's agent has admitted the Denmark international midfielder could be on his way out of Celtic.

Gravesen, the club's highest earner, was left out of the squad for the Scottish Cup final win over Dunfermline on Saturday along with Jiri Jarosik, and both players could now be moved on as Gordon Strachan looks to strengthen his side.

It is claimed that Strachan is unhappy with the former Everton and Real Madrid player Gravesen's attitude and his refusal to carry out instructions on the field.

When asked if being dropped for the final meant his Celtic career was over, Gravesen's agent John Sivebaek replied: "Yes, it could be."

Meanwhile, Hibs out-of-contract striker Chris Killen could make a move to Parkhead according to the Glasgow Evening Times as a back-up for Dutchman Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink.

    I'll shed no tears

I'm okay with Gravesen going and even Jiri, although I quite like the big guy. He's done okay in most of his games playing out of position, but okay is not good enough for Celtic.

If Gravesen going frees up some cash then it has to be a good thing given his mediocre contribution to the cause. Good luck to him wherever he goes.

With Sidwell going to Chelsea I would be interested to see what the position is with Appiah. Are we in for him or not? I think he would be a great asset to our CL cause for next season alongside Broonaldo, Naka & Aidiniho.

Hartley has done nothing since he came and I would like to see him moving on as I can't see where he'll fit in next season.

No tears will be shed but I feeling of "what could have been" surrounds Graveson. He will be a success were ever he goes

He bombed at his last club when they discovered he wasn't capable of filling Claude Makelele's boots.

So maybe third time lucky. Major disappointment. Goodbye.

He was a cult hero in Madrid. Was bombed out because Fabio wanted to bring Emerson in. Who is a golden child of Capello's

Capello getting the boot in the summer. Btw I didn't say he isn't a good manager. A lot of managers bring in players they know and trust and Graveson was a victim of this

Capello may leave Madrid with another championship in his suitcase. Whatever happens he is a top manager, one of the greats.

Gravesen was a victim of a misunderstanding. He was brought to Madrid to replace Makelele (the best holding midfielder in europe at the time), when we can all clearly see now that he is totally incapable of playing that position.

If he isn't capable of carrying out the manager's instructions on the field then he shouldn't be at the club. We don't want a Bam Ferguson in our ranks.

Glad Grav is going. You can tell by his weird body language that he has become disruptive and he has no positional sense and cant follow tactics. He may have done well doing the superman thing until now but he is over 30 now and no longer has the energy and pace to do it to effect. He has more skill than the other central midfielders at the club but that advantage has been totally undone by his flaws. As for JJ, I think he is a good player that is just unusually slow. There is no cure for that. He will do much better in the slow, studied eastern European leagues. WGS must have been sick when he realised neither were fit to replace Petrov. At least WGS recognised the flaws early and acted by dropping Grav and keeping JJ away form the central midfield spots.

We've been unlucky with those two, you would have thought at least one of them would have cut it.

It's a right pity with those two. I honestly thought they'd be good and get experience here but lets hope WGS doesn't do this again.

Personally I felt Gravesen got a raw deal. When he`s been in the team and stayed there he`s scored goals. He hasn`t lived up to the hype though. But to be fair it wasn`t him dedicating page after page to himself in the tabloids.

The recent game against Hibs was an example of him gettin it in the neck from the media. Guy in the paper said he`d been the worst player on the park and his only contribution was to slice a shot a mile wide.
I watched the game on Celtic TV later in the week and saw Gravesen send Beattie clean through 3 times and sprayed the passes out nicely findin guys in space.
What I saw him doin wrong was that he also beat one player only to get tackled by the next (Scott Brown had done the same thing a few moments earlier) and misplaced a pass. Watchin it, I saw him having a decent game, not great by any standards but to say he was the worst player on the pitch was nonsense. Nobody want Nakamura sold when he gets caught in posession and that happens at least 3 times a game (how many times does McGeady lose out?).
And the sliced shot? The ball was rolling past him and just as he swung at it, it hit a bobble and bounced a foot in the air. Couldn`t do anything about it, yet that was what the report picked out?

I don`t think he`s been givin a fair crack of the whip tbh. Though he`s on huge wages so I can see why people expect more. Would like to see him stay on next year. He`s better than Hartley.

Jarosik can go. Tried defending the guy all year and he has had a good couple of games when in the middle of the park but he`s just is not interested in playing for Celtic. Even playing he looks like he just wants to be somewhere else. Let him go I say.

I agree, with you totally, there has been been a stigma around this £45 000 a week, its what the board gave him.Sure he ain't worth it,but he is better than Hartley and any other attacking midfielder.

What a * shame. The lad could, and probably should have been a Celtic legend.
As it is, he will join the long list of almosts at CP.
Definately still a good player but just didnt 'cut the mustard' enough for us especially on the domestic front.I could see what he was all about in a couple of CL games-reminded me of the Tommy G from his Everton days.
Still though Grav, this aint no two bob English UEFA Cup outfit or a fading foreign giant.
This is a big club on the up once again. An institution challenging for the major honours both at home and abroad, famed throughout the world for its exploits 40 years ago, basking in the glory of its history and supported all the way by a veritable army of hundreds of thousands of passionate fans throuhout the world.
This is a club that will not accept second best anymore.
    This is Celtic FC.:celt_2:
