Seeing Kluivert on TV today, only 36.

Who are other players, not even great just ones who were quite decent who declined in their 20's and basically finished by 30?

I can think of only a few, all forwards Kluivert, Torres, Owen, Fowler, Alan Smith, Adriano.

Alan Smith is mental actually looking at his record, who would have thought when he signed for Man U aged 23 in 2004 that he would only score 14 goals in his next 219 appearances :56:

In fairness to Alan Smith, he was actually decent at Utd at the beginning but gradually got worse then broke his leg and never receovered

Is it fair to say Ronaldo 'lost it'? Seeing as his career was hampered by injury.

Smith played most of his games at Man United in a defensive midfielder type role as well. Cantona comes to mind right away, think he was only 30, 31 when he retired. Javier Saviola as well, he isn't half the player he used to be.

Robinho. He had so much promise at one time.

I remember City splashed out £32.5m for him or thereabouts when they first got taken over by the Arabs and he looked like he would be a star at that time.

Now, he's 29 and going nowhere fast.

See when you look at Ronaldo's goal to game ratio though?? Unbelievable amount of goals the guy scored, right up until he retired. Totally agree that he was never the same player, but he did come back and become an excellent goal scorer.

Denilson, Darren Anderton, could say Gazza too his peak was probably 1988-1993 when he was 21-26.
