What's your view on our keeper dilemma? Im not sure if Forster is available on a permanent deal once his loan spell finishes, wouldn't surprise me if Pardew comes out and says he has a future with Newcastle just so to get a bigger price for him.

Young man had done a good job for me, still young and learning, made a few costly mistakes but overall has looked fairly reliable.

Should we try and bring in a different keeper or do we try secure Forster on a permanent deal once the season has finished?

I'd be happy if we got Forster on a permanent deal, but I don't think Newcastle want to sell him

We should try to get him on loan again but I doubt we could afford him, he's probably worth about £3million which is quite steep for a goalkeeper.

We should punt the Polish Butterfingers though, I am on the verge of tears thinking about him playing against the huns.

Try and keep him either on a further loan or preferably buy him. The amount of clean sheets we've had this season is impressive and I think that is in large part to Forster, also it helps having a stable, solid defence.

Try for him on a permanent at the end of the season ,the fact our first choice keeper is a loan signing makes me uncomfortable.Though if the speculation that we are looking at other keepers is only a good thing too

i'm not 100% confident in him. think he is the weakest player in the team.

in an ideal world i would want Given. he loves the club and City won't let him move to a Premiership rival. failing that, i would take a gamble on Kasper Schmeichel. he is showing some promise and he will be going into his final year of contract come next transfer window. only problem would be if Leeds Utd make the playoffs.

The longer the season goes on the more I am starting to like Fraser Forster. I'd be happy enough if we signed him but if we don't then I don't think it will be the end of the world.

He is a good keeper although not brilliant. If he was playing for a Scottish team outside the OF we would probably be looking to pinch him for a couple of million. Problem is Newcastle have ridiculous ideas about the value of their 3rd choice keeper and probably would want 4 million or the like. He is not worth that much and we probably would get an equally good goalie on the continent for far less. I have noticed that the standard of goalies is very high compared to Britain in many European countries.

He is 22 years old and has more clean sheets in the SPL than anyone else. I would have him in a heartbeat. As he ages he looks like he will be a top keeper. Sadly, I think Newcastle would want £5m + for him. Playing for us has probably put him in the shop window as well.

My cousin lives down in Coventry, hls son is a community coach with Coventry too, both are big Celtic fans, but watch Coventry every home game, and both reckon Westwood is a top class keeper. He has apparently knocked back signing a new contract with Coventry, and word is down there he is desperate to sign for us when his contract expires in the summer. So please Lenny, go get him on a pre contract NOW, before some mob down south dive in to beat us to his signature. Wont cost us a penny on a transfer fee, so we can afford to offer him a good weekly wage. So, I am with you on this one Gabriel mate

Heard a lot of good things about Westwood but have not seen much of him. Also remember it takes a complete different style of keeper at celtic someone who wont be that busy but needs high concentration to pull of top saves when required. Also most of a Celtic goalies work will be taking crosses etc rather than reflex saves. Although I love a good bosman signing.

Forster has done well at times but does seem a bit clumsy especially with kicking.
I think this is one that will be sorted in the summer. Like forster said he is to excited to think about beyond this season. Basically we will need to wait and see.
Plus depends on what Newcastle demand for forster if they will sell and if forster will go back and sit on the bench.

He has been good but we could get better for the money he would cost so let him go at the end of the season
