    Hypothetical question.....................

    IF we could sign Fraser Forster permanently, sign Shay Given or buy back Artur Boruc..........who would you want to be our Goalkeeper next season?


    Fraser Forster
    Forster had a really good season for Celtic. Celtic kept lots of clean sheets with Forster between the sticks and his wages are within Celtic's reach.

    Shay Given
    Shay Given has been a world class goalkeeper in his time. Is he still? He would be a popular signing with most Celtic fans but his wages are huge so is he really worth breaking the club's wage structure for?

    Artur Boruc
    Hypothetical one this. Artur was the best goalkeeper this club has had for many years, some think he is the best goalkeeper we've ever had, and he was undoubtedly a huge hit with the fans. He has got himself back in shape at Fiorentina and his ability is not in question. His wages might be an issue but if he wanted to return to Celtic he would surely be a great signing.


    Which one of these 3 would you want Celtic to sign? Or would you rather we signed a different GK altogether?

    Given. He's older now, has made his money, and he loves Celtic. I reckon he might take a drop. But I'd like us to have Forster as a number2 or someone young and of similar ability.

    Forster. Great young player and he has got even better as the season unfolded.Holds the record for shut outs for us as well now.

    Forster. Has many more years in his career left. Something that Boruc and Given, especially Given, don't.

    Boruc and Given are better keepers but Forster has proven he's good enough for the SPL and as he improves with experience, will likely be good enough to play in Europe.

    Boruc is the best of the 3, or at least he was when he was with us, I'm not sure how he's got on at Fiorentina. Given is not far behind, and obviously they're both massive Tims. Forster's been good, but he's still a bit suspect for me; good shot stopper, not much else. For such a huge goalie, his command of his penalty area is weak. Being realistic though, Given is the only one we really have a chance of signing.

    I would love Boruc back, but after the season we have jsut had, or Lennon has just had, I think Boruc could fan the flames further ( although I would love to see the reaction).
    But for me Given is the man. From what he is saying it looks like he is in the mind of taking a hefty paycut. I do like Forster as well, bt imo we need to sign more than 1 GK so Forster and Given would be grand

    I don't think Forster is a good keeper, been quite lucky on a few occasions this year, can only remember two fantastic saves by him this year, St Johnstone and Rangers (League Cup Final) but with Artur your guaranteed about 10.

    Don't think we've got a chance of getting Artur back and I don't want Forster so that leaves, Given or Westwood.

    Could we afford both, seeing as Westwood is on a free, plus Given would be a good tutor for Westwood wouldn't he?
