Penalty miss was bad, but that miss straight after was even worse, was literally a tap-in and he manages to put it wide.

If you take the ball off Jaarnovic who has hit the back of the net both times and hit a weak * penalty into the goalie in the 90th minute you're gonna get stick.

His penalty was *. He bottled it.

But, but, he's only just in the door, need to support him til he finds his feet apparently. Maybe he will bag a couple when we are 20 odd points adrift again.

  5. Getting a lot of support in the rags from ex personalities. Hartson now backing him up, which is fair enough.

Perhaps theyre seeing something I'm not, I just don't rate the guy.

Dare I say it... Sure why not....Griffith's puts that penalty away, as well as the host of chances he's missed faffing about.

I totally support the kid, he's a Celtic player now, and some the comments have been a tad melodramatic, But in this case I think too many bought into this "he's the top scorer in the Dutch league!" pish.

In today's market 2.5m is highly likely to get you middling, low quality strikers. Bargains can be found, and diamonds unearthed, but not in the Dutch top flight. They know when they have quality, and 9/10 charge a big * fee for it.
So far, for me, he looks every bit his transfer fee.

Bustin to be proved wrong though.

Leigh Griffiths sat on the bench for Dundee at the weekend after being dropped after a 5 0 defeat to the team at the bottom of the league.

    Actually, quite fair.

Griff's career is more or less over at this point.

Still think he's a better striker that Jackie Mackies :fear:

He missed one when Ronny was the manager. Possibly a European game, it was a night game anyway. Only reason I remember that much is because the wee * cost me money on a bet I had on.

Lads some of you really need to get a grip. The guy missed a penalty. The same way Ronaldo, Neymar and Messi has. * me.

Again, it’s not the fact he missed a penalty. I don’t know how many times that needs to be reiterated.

We got gifted a lifeline when we couldn’t otherwise break a team down, in the 93rd minute, in the midst of a vital title race. 2 additional points were at stake.

The manner in which he approached the penalty was an absolute embarrassment.

I don’t give a * if that’s how he always hits them, if you’re going to swagger up and try and look nonchalant for a highlight reel, you really need to * score, it’s that simple.

Ronaldo, messi and Neymar have scored enough for there teams to be allowed a penalty miss. They've earned the right not to be criticised. This guy rolled it into the keepers arms like it meant nothing. If he hit the post, bar, smashed it just wide i wouldn't be bothered as much. Atleast he tried. That penalty was not trying.

He may come good though and this miss may wake him up a bit.

His confidence would have been low after such a powder puff performance, penalties are all about mindset.
