gerrard cant tackle and thats something u need as a centre mid.

 

Liverpool have got results without Gerrard . Like in Turin the 0-0 draw Alonso was the best man on the park

Gerrard is a attacking midfielder not a defensive one he isn't ment to tackle which alonso is becuase he is a deep lying midfielder.

A more fair comparison would have been Lampard and Gerrard as they are the same type of players.

I was gonna post that! But yeah, Gerrard is IMO the best English player right now. Consistent, hard-working etc. Alonso is good, but Gerrard is in a league of his own. Plus he has Alex Curran.

i totally disagree juan roman riquelme is the most complete mid in the world. he is some player and is worth alot more then gerrard imo. very good player he is alot more complete then gerrard imo.
