Never noticed he had a tattoo around one of his fingers.

Samaras is a steady performer in Europe. He's stepped up to the plate plenty of times in Europe and has that ability to play a blinder in him as well.

Actually, he has 4 tattooed letters.
EJAF, I don't know the correct order of letters, but
E is for Efthihia, his mother's name
    A-Anastasia, his sister's name
    J- John, his dad's name
    F- for friends
I don't know if it is Greek alphabet or Latin one, I suppose the second one, because his dad was born in Australia, so he probably has English variant of his name, not Greek variant, Yannis.

He was particularly frustrating today... Got his 50th league goal and 70th overall for us. Not bad.

I was actually frustrated with Samaras a few times today. Two parts in particular:

    1. Had the ball, Kayal was inside in a good position calling for it, Samaras ignored it, dwelled on the ball a bit befoe passing elsewhere.

    2. Almost identical situation, but this time Biton. Samaras needs to look up more.

He holds onto the ball too long, fair enough.

  11. Hopefully his injury is not too bad .

He was frustrating at times but put in a lot of good work, excellent header although the defending from Thistle was brutal.

I love it even more every time he does it. It's a great way of enticing them to challenge and beat them.

    Pish today.

    Far too slow and relaxed.

The wee rolling his foot across the ball works brilliantly for him, at every level of the game.

Was utter * today imo. Got the goal but let's just move on from that one.

Except for when he nonchalantly rolls it directly out of play for a throw in.
