It's hard to believe that Forster and Douglas have both been first choice goalkeepers for this club. The gap in quality between them is abyssal.

Aye and while we had big slab the huns had tax cheat Klos, who got them two titles they never deserved. A quality goalie can be worth 12 points a season easy.

Absolutely. Lifts the whole squad as well I reckon. Look at the way our defence interact with Forster... Forster is like a second captain taking care of the back of the field.

Despite us playing * for big patches this season. He still is within a shout of cracking his own record again. How many games we got left this season?

Well... 14 clean sheets out of 17? It'll be really hard but it's not beyond us.

Hes absolutley immense, id say the best keeper to have ever played in Scotland.

There not a weakness in his game, penalty saves, clearing crosses, coming off his line, staying on his line, kicking, throwing. Even most "world class" keepers have better parts and weaker parts but Forster is really good at everything.

We should get him tied down for years 6+ years, so we can name our price once other clubs come in for him.

one of the best signings we have made in years, very talented and young cant believe we got him so cheap from Newcastle. Saved us numerous times not just is the champions league but also in the SPL, Potentially going to become England number 1 deservedly. hail hail

I meant coming out 1 on 1 or making saves from close range on his line like headers from crosses etc

True every now and then he doesnt come out quick enough or at all when he should but its rare, in that recent game last week I think he should have come out twice to collect and never but it was the first time I remember it in ages, so more of an off day than a problem.

Like I said to Dev, he certainly is improving on even his "weakest" of flaws.

For a guy so huge and dominant, he should be coming out and collecting about 90% of all crosses and corners (I cannot think of any outfield player in the world who would be able to outjump an up-stretched Forster?) Right now, I'd say he does it about 70% of the time, as opposed to about 40-50% than he used to :50:

Also - great video that :50:

Something I noticed he done each and everytime against Benfica in the 0-0 game at Parkhead. He also done it very well against Barcelona.

He changed to kick his mindset up a level in the Champions League. The fact he's still young bodes well for him doing that kind of thing permanently.

One of the most dramatic improvements I have seen in a player with us in a long time. Very happy with him, he seems to just get better and better.

Definitely mate - it also just shows how commanding and domineering he can be - as I can't honestly remember a ball that he has missed or spilled when he has came out to collect? For me (I think I've touched on this before) Big Frazer needs to get a bit more angry/mean. He seems like one of these big gentle giant * - although a few times we've seen him ready to skullfuck a few wee arseholes :icon_mrgreen:

Cannot think of any who have improved quite as much in such a short space of time?

Aye, how * off was he with the Motherwell penalty? You seen what happened there!

As for dramatic turnarounds? I rate Charlie Mulgrew's and Samaras' above his turn around. I think Forster's just realising his potential.

One of my favourite players for a long time but his kicking is still * quite often. That and crosses at times, is the only two minor flaws in his game.
