Maybe worth a try tonight putting the wee man behind Stokes tonight but I thought he was lost. Was sadly missed out on the wing TBH.

    Thoughts?

he was poor tonight but he played the 2nd half at killie behind the front 2 not on the wing and he was brilliant

but yeah agree his is currently SPL level no higher, plenty of room for improvement though and i believe he will do that

Not as good on the left. Not good in the centre either.

Should've started on and stayed on the right.

I don't think Forrest is the finished article yet. Still looks very weak on the ball against better quality.

Exactly this, the physical aspect of his game is still lacking.

He's a right winger, that's where he should play. Not behind the striker or on the left.

He would have been better used on the right

He did very well on Saturday, this was just a bit too high a standard for him tonight, he will only develop though

We wont see the best of him until the start of next season I dont think. Young players usually take 60/70/80 games before they reach the required level of confidence and fitness/physique to enable consistancy. He's still boyish but another 8 months and 30 games and then a summer to bulk up and reach the next level is required.

    Exactly this.

When he is in the mood he will go through everything, head down. The rest of the time he doesn't even look as if he is bothered.

Nothing has changed with him, we need consistency and we need him to realise he is all the man he is ever going to be.

He isnt though, I expect within the next 18 months he'll be stronger and quicker than he is, he's not fully developed physically.

McGeady was 21 and had over 120 competitive games before he developed any strength or pace. Ronaldo had about 200 games and was 22 before he developed into the strength and pace he had same with Messi, Nani, Bale etc

I think around the age of 21-23 and once they'd played 100+ games they get to another level.
