    Any suggestions on this

Artur Boruc is injured for 2 months ( at the very start of my Celtic game )
I have an American GK arriving in January

I have no other GK apart from these two as i sold Fox, Cervi and Brown

If i buy another keeper, as backup then either he or Lambo ( my usa gk coming ) will grow unhappy.

    What should i do ?

By that i mean, has anyone got any suggestions for good cheap goalies that i could maybe sell on

Get a 35-40 year old who is out of contract. They wont be outstanding but they will get the job done then * off when told to.

awryt lads, got a quick q. Ive been playing this game upteen times and never had any luck in the CL with celtic, take for example my last 16 games against Arsenal, won 3-1 at Parkhead then got beat 6-0 at the Emirates.
Clearly I played the right tactics at home, but away it always goes pear shaped. I played 4-4-2 at home just slightly attacking, and 4-1-4-1 away with defensive counter attacking football and dont have a clue where I've went wrong.
Do you use different Opposition Tactics whether your home or away?
If any of you could give me advice or a tactic for playing away it would be appreciated.

    Cheers :50:

Now we can say that FM10 comes out next month. :icon_mrgreen:

I've been drawn into my longest running game again. Into season 9 now, first with Arsenal, going pretty well, but my goal is to take over at Celtic before the new FM comes out. Would love the challenge of managing the Hoops with a whole different team instead of what it's like, when you start the game and you know all the players and you know what signings to make. In my current game Levein's contract expires at the end of this season and since he's done * all, I hope it doesn't get extended.

I usually play and beat Arsenal by going Narrow, Defensive counter-attacking against them, Liverpool this works with a dream aswell :50:

Searched all around for a decent CB who was relatively cheap.

Ended up buying a guy called Gustavo Cabral for £4m. A pretty good deal since he has excelled in his first 6 months.

Then, my board take the bizarre decision to accept a bid of £4.8m (over my head) and he's off to Villarreal at the end of the season. What the *!? Now I need to find someone to replace him.

i could forgive them if they accepted silly money for him, but £4.8m?

    Idiots.

Right, looking for a new challenge, any ideas

Done the Celtic thing to death, far too easy.

Played as Hibs, good challenge but I've gotten to easy street and despite no UCL success, I've taken 6 SPL's, several cups and the Europa league and i have €74M to spend on players if need be so it would only be a case of the games randomness stopping me which I'm not interested in.

Any ideas of what I should do?

I'm looking for a new challenge because I just spent the last 3 days doing a clean install and change of RAID array and its like I bought a brand new PC so I want to try it out.

PS. Anyone have the files that allow you to include the German NT? The link on the dugout has expired

Anyone have the link for the facepacks? I didnt back them up :54:

    Thanks peeps

Try going someone in the English Conference. Like Woking or Toquay. Or Northwhich Victora. As they are battling to stay up every season.

Given the glass ceiling in the game to teams like that, I rather not go that low.

    Thinking of Leeds alright

Could anyone check what type of facilities Hibs have at the start of the game, 9.0.3 patch.

They are top training and excellent youth but I thought they didnt have it as good as that though.

Whats this RAID array thing? Does it improve performance (had a glance at wiki but it confused me)

There are several options, some improve performance for certain tasks and others are used to protect data incase of a hard drive failing.

    e.g. (Very simplistic explanations

RAID 0 - Data Striping. Whilst HDD1 is accessing the first half of a file, the 2nd HDD is getting the 2nd half. Best Performance but no data protection.

RAID 1 - Data Mirroring. Both HDD's contain the same data so effectively you only have the capacity of one drive but complete data protection if one fails

RAID 5 - stripes data and parity information across 3 or more drives. RAID 5 gives good performance (need hardware controller, €€€, or its slow, onboard RAID 5 kills your CPU), data protection and higher storage capacity.

RAID 10 - Combination of RAID 0 and RAID 1, you need 4 drives and you get benefits of RAID 0 & 1 but you loose the capacity of 2 drives and you dont need parity to be calculated like in RAID 5 (CPU time and lots of it needed)

I had RAID 0 on a previous PC I built, excellent but you are * when a drive fails. Had RAID 5, good but without the hardware controller, performance suffers.

Just changed to RAID 10 and I'm loving it :50:

    Hope that helps
