3 games spring to mind, and these also happen to be the top 3 games EVER!!!

    1) Half-Life. Unreal story, gameplay and graphics. Untouchable.

    2) Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Again unreal story and sense of freedom, with great graphics, great characters and music.

    3) Goldeneye - Revolutionised console FPS's and the multiplayer was a revelation.

    my top 5 are...

1, Zelda: ocarina of time... its truly timeless, i can still sit down to this now and i enjoy doing so.

2, goldeneye 64, for me it set the benchmark for fps games and still leaves many games today in its shadow.

3, duke nukem (original) pretty much unplayable now due to frame rate issues but in its day it was just awesome, many many funny moments and * going ons lol love it.

4, fifa 97... for me one of the best ever editions of the series, i still play it on occasion lol

5, the metal gear series, i loved all the pre-ps2 ones and at the time i remember thinking wow if games play out like this now what will they be like in a few years time..it got me very excited and cemmented my love for gaming.

Some others i feel need mentioned are... tenchu (original) gta (original) ff (dont really like it but i see its beauty) worms armageddon LOL still lots of fun now.

So many are classics and to this day cant be touched...standards are dropping in all honesty id say the 90's was a golden age, hopefully the tail end of this generation can set a new precident

Absolutely brilliant game, never enjoyed any computer game as much as i did this one! and imo the best game ever made, because of the era it was made in. :50:

Ah the 90's what a decade of great games, early 90s mostly played mario, sensible soccer and fifa. Duckhunt was giving a pasting for about a week but the wee dog stressed me out lol. Goldeneye is probably the best game in the late 90s, great for multiplayer with 4 ppl, probably the cod of the 90s

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - some of the gaming magazines I read still say it was the greatest game of all time. I still get an urge to hook up my 64 just to play it again.
