Any famous relatives? My nanas brother Jim was a journalist, he died in 97 right enough so I never really knew him. He also was awarded an OBE and special achievement award in recognition to his work for journalism and sport.

Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson said: "He was a giant of a man, my mentor throughout my career.''

Mr Tony Blair described him as "A legendary figure."

Tommy Burns said it was "a great shock'', adding: "He was a very, very special man and I will certainly miss him.''

Graeme Souness said he "was a very dear friend. When I was manager of Rangers, he made my job and my life a lot easier because he used to watch my back. He was like a father figure to a lot of people, both in journalism and in football.''

    Makes me proud. :50:

    Jimmy Nicholl.

Former Man Utd, Rangers, Sunderland and West Brom defender.

He usually bums Jimmy Calderwood and follows him around as assistant manager. He grew some balls though and started managing Cowdenbeath. He's back at Killie now though as Assistant manager.

I knew he had a Shotts connection.

Is the name Roger, Rogers or Rodgers?

    Rodger/Roger unsure of spelling tbh.

Aye, they were all miners from Shotts, he went down the pit once and couldn't bring himself to go back down.
