Been looking for the last couple of weeks for Summer Holiday next July , 6 adults and two 7 year olds(that age next year).

But can't make our minds up on what resort or where to go(Been left mostly to me by my in laws and that to sort me its the missus my bhoy her wee sis family and in laws going) , will be defo all inclusive for the wee ones.

Not been abroad since away b4 we started saving for our house 9 years ago, will be my bhoys first proper summer holiday not counting Craig Tara or Blackpool.

Any advice on resorts, travel agent mobs or websites? been looking every night but hurting my head by now.

    Cheers

Salou has a theme park, which would be good for the kids, although its been years since I was there but it was good from what I remember.

    Minorca good for families

As Tim Time says Salou as well, theme park, water park, good beaches and less than 3 hours away

Can't beat Portugal, everything there for all ages. And not as many party groups.

I don't think you can go wrong with Lanzarote when it comes to family holidays.

It's hot without being unbearable, reasonably priced with plenty of decent hotels, the flight time is only about 3.5 hours and there are plenty of really nice restaurants and bars. Peurto Del Carmen is a great spot.

Wouldn't touch Minorca, went once and it was very quiet, if it was 6 kids and 2 adults then maybe,

I think Salou is a good holiday for a family. It's not as lively as other resorts, but has enough.

PortAventura theme park is good. They have just opened Ferrari land.

Salou also has two waterparks. One of them(Auqapolis) was looking was a bit tired when I was there 2 years ago.

It's also a short flight time for people not used to flying. It's also close enough to Barcelona for a visit there.

    Benelmadena.

Never been to Spain except for work in Barcelona but sister loved Benelmadena with her kids (3 of them).

I would second Lanzarote as a fine place and you won't go far wrong from my experience from a few years back mind.

If it were not for the way France is going, I would be certain to suggest a camping (caravan or log cabin) holiday in the South, the South West of France near Andorra border in the Languedoc-Roussillon region or along the other side South East Pyranees Basque coast border with Spain. Or the Vendee, these are wonderful family holidays.
Somewhere different, beautiful and as a massive bonus is
No huns go anywhere near where there are fine wines and especially no where near cheeses or culture of any evolved kind.

I've been on both family and friends holidays there. Has the boozers and so on but so does every resort, during the day with kids and up until a certain time it would be fine.

Was there myself with friends last year. Didn't strike me as a family area even during the day.
Also just think there's much better spanish places you could do a family trip that kids would get more out of.

Would go with salou as well.

Sould highly recommend the Hotel Piramide. They do all inclusive, its a street back from the main drag, going towards the theme park - makes it a 20 minute brisk walk. Plenty of family friendly bars and restaurants around that end as well which will keep you away from the typical pr folk as well.
Major bus stop is 2 minutes away that will take you to Barcelona, taragona (think old town with bullring) and reus.
Also good amount of Irish bars (like everywhere to be fair) that will be good for any friendlies/qualifiers we will be in.

For the adults who want to step away from the kids a few nights, there is plenty of bars and clubs open till the sun comes back up - just dont be expecting ibiza sized djs and the likes.

Been doing salou since I was a wain, highly recommend it to anyone, or any age.

Salou as others have said, you could get a villa on the outskirts to accommodate everyone or do as we did, a great 3 bedroom apartment on cappelans beach, a 2 pools a bar and a couple of cafes,,a lot quieter than the main beach but nice cocktails and cold beers, there was an ibrox bar but it was closed down.

This was our place. If your looking for all inclusive and clubs for the weans though you'll need something else. But washing machine and dryer meant we travelled light.
It's within walking distance to everything, 5 mins walk to a couple of Irish bars and chaplins show bar and the main strip but the looky looky guys are a pain in the * down at the arcades.
