If a Spanish striker takes the bull by the horns I can't see past them personally.

If they struggle for goals, as they may against Italy, it could be a tough group for them. I'd love to see Ireland beat Croatia and go into the game against the Italians with something to play for.

Hopefully Italy underperform as they have a habit of doing, and Ireland can sneak in ahead of Croatia.

    My group prediction.....

Spain will win all three games, we will draw with croatia and italy, they will draw their other game, the team who fares best against spain will come second.

I think if ROI beat Croatia then they have a fair chance of going through. Spain should win it.

Spain should walk it with that midfield and if Torres plays the way he can. Llorente and Negredo will be a handful for any defence due to their strength and height which most other Spanish players lack.

I think Italy will finish 2nd though. Ireland will have a wee chance if McGeady, Keane, Dunne and Given play up to the quality they have in the past.

    #2 Ireland

Think Italy will suffer from the * that's going on in their competitions right now.

Spain: Will breeze through the group.
Ireland: 2nd is up for grabs, i believe they can get 2 decent results against Italy and Croatia.
Italy: They had the scandal back home at world cup 2006, could it be a lucky omen, hope not!
Croatia: Good squad, and could easily make 2nd.

Groups B, C and D are all cracking groups where there could be shocks.

Another great group, can't see past the spaniards in this one for top spot.

If Ireland can get off to a positive start against the Croats, then they may do it but I think Italy will take second spot, though the croatians can't be ruled out either.

We need a point atleast in our first game, otherwise it'll be near impossible to qualify.
