[Cross Platform] EA Criticises HD remastered games

Seems kind of hypocritical to me considering they pump out the same sports games every year (Madden, FIFA, NHL and NBA Live) with nothing but minor tweaks. If anything they "remaster" games more than the whole industry put together but stick the next number of the sequence on the end of the title and get away with it.

 

Haha wow they've got a cheek to criticise anyone on anything when they just released a £50 season pass for battlefront for features that should already be in the game. Hate EA

 

EA have turned the corner for me, Really impressed with them on Xbox One. EA Access is an absolute steal and must have. I'm also glad about them not doing remasters as it means we'll probably see the backwards compatible ea titles added to ea access as well.

40 is horseshit for a season pass. Think batman was 35 and its season pass includes about an hour of gameplay and several skins for the car.. Rip off *.

 

Shame, i was hoping for a mass effect trilogy remaster.

Agree EA Access is a steal, was thinking about paying £20 for hardline and they released on the 14th for free, also get 10 hours free gameplay of new releases before release date..

For me, never having an original Xbox, the Master Chief Collection on XboxOne has been * amazing. It came bundled with my Xbox so in my case, I think the remastering of games was a pretty good thing.

 

What are some companies so against remasters, would it not make them a lot of money compared to the money put in?

 

Halo MCC was pretty much a one off on the remaster scale, The amount of work went into that is astounding. Top notch remaster and I doubt we'll see a better one.

Then you look at the half assed * like prototype, no graphical improvements and it actually runs worse on the Xbox one than it did on the 360. They also charged the same as the MCC.. Deadpool is another "remaster" that's out soon. They have improved nothing. All they've done is port it to current gen and are charging full price of 50 quid..

Unless its master chief levels of remaster they can shove them up their arses.

 

The Cut Scenes in Halo 2 were absolutely incredible. Gorgeous, even.

 

Probably because EA have very little to remaster except their Star Wars rip off, Mass Effect. Or at a push Dead Space.

Aye but even activision could remake the old CODs they would make a fortune.

 

Mass Effect would be a perfect series to remaster.

The first one wasn't released on PS3 (it eventually was with the the two in a bundle), so I'm sure a fair number of PS players won't have played the series.

 

EA have more than a few games I'd play a proper remaster of. The godfather games, Def jam, Dantes inferno, Crysis, command and conquer, bad company 2.

Probably a lot more.

 

I'd absolutely love to play a remastered Bad Company (the first one).

First Battlefield game I played and it's still my favourite.
