    Dundee United Vs. Celtic

    22nd March, 2:00 P.M K/O

An absolute must win for us and hoping for a good performance but any sort of 3 points would do me at the end of the day!

    Big, big game for us.

We have got to win this and hopefully maintain our standards for the last 9 games after it. We are at a stage of the season where every week the next game is the most important game of the season so far. Hopefully our experience in the last 3 years will steer us through.

I certainly hope so Martin. But the only thing that worries me is that United will be desperate to beat us.

Wonder if Strachan will go for the same formation as the Rangers Final what with it being a big game and away from home. Don't think Samaras and JVoH can be trusted at this stage..

Defence isn't Dundee Uniteds strongest point so I suppose there is an argument for 2 strikers. I am assuming Hutchison won't be given a start which is something I would agree with. We can't be depending on young reserves at this stage of the season...

We're playing for a championship mate. That should ensure we are more motivated than them.

i just hope that, because we won the cup, we don't show any complacency, i agree with martin right now this is the biggest game of the season for us, i would like to see lovans keep his place, i think he should stick with Hartley, his experience could be useful towards the end of the season,

id go 442, same back 4 and Sunday, mcgeady, brown, heartly naka,in midfield with sammy and skippy up front,

I'm going to stick my neck right out and predict a more comfortable win for us than a lot of you may think.

The wheels have fallen off the Dundee Utd bandwagon in the last few weeks, mostly since we sickened them by knocking them out of the Cup on penalties then nicking one of their best players.

    2-0 Celtic.

    * it, I'd like to see us stay with 4-5-1. We've got a lot of midfielders who are supposedly better footballers than our opposition. We have also got good options for who plays in the hole, McGeady, Naka and Maloney when he's back.

I'd still like to see him play Naka on the left (if he's not going to be in the middle) and McGeady on the right (if he's not in the middle). I've criticised WGS for buying so many midfielders and playing them out of position but we've got lots of them, small guys who can play it on the carpet. I felt on Sunday, with the ball not really running on the pitch, we played a lot of tight passing, and it worked. My only concern would be whether we had enough dig about us but let's use what we've got.

Who do you put out of the team for him though? The midfield is on fire at the moment I don't think there is any need for him.

Staying with the 4-5-1 would be an idea. Maybe with one of the other strikers coming on in the second half. I'd quite like to see McGeady play behind McDonald again. Obviously I'd keep Brown in the centre. Put Naka on the left, Hartley on the right and Crosas in the middle.
I'd also rather see Loovens & Caldwell play at CB and I'd keep O'Dea on the left if Naylor isn't fit. Hinkel to stay out on the right.
