Aye , happens to me often and can be a pain like freezing the screen.. You just need to do a control-ALT-Delete and look in the processes tab , highlight the drwtsn32.exe entry (usually there will be 2 of them) and end the process and things should return to normal..

I find it's usually linked to video files..

A corrupt video file or one thats encoded in such a way that none of my software can handle it.. Like an AVI file that might have been done differently to the AVI files Im used to.. It usually happens as soon as I click on a folder containing the files , windows doesn't produce a thumbnail for these types of files and sends explorer scatty , causing a freeze untill I kill the dr watson processes..

It looks like it might be caused when you are either trying to run or create a video file with that software Cyberlink Power Director..

Possibly you are missing some codec that is required for that software to work properly..
Having something like VLC media player is fine because it can play virtually anything , but VLC player itself doesn't install codecs onto your pc , so when you use the Cyberlink software or other software it probably checks a certain folder on the pc for required codecs and can't find them.. You could either install a codec pack to see if that makes a difference . or play the video file through VLC player..

This is CCCP codec pack.. It installs files on your pc so you can watch various formats of video.. There's literally dozens of types of AVI files , as well as differently encoded MPEG'S and other formats.. This pack is regarded as one of the best codec packs around , will allow your pc to handle many formats of video and could well prevent that dr watson problem happening again..
