have seen a few goals chopped off when a ref consults with a linesman
but cant remember a penalty decision overturned.

The corruption is so rife it's an absolute embarrassment. At least in other countries refs have to be bribed, which is at least semi-respectable.

Pathetic. Pathetic. Pathetic. * disgrace. And pathetic.

exactly, the point is the ref gave a penalty and his linesman by his actions agreed thus the only logical conclusion is that they sought to find a possible reason not to give a penalty; it stinks and took a part of the attention away from what was a magnificent, dominant performance by us

Dithering Dougie needs to explain this U-turn fiasco - The Daily Record - Murdo Macleod

good to see Murdo not slating us for once and rather the ref! :50:

EDIT: well if theres any proof that the daily record cant handle the truth here it is; just tried to type this comment on murdos article

good article murdo! how such an indecisive man such as Dougie McDonald even refs in the SPL is beyond me; funnily enough his most controversial moments always happen to feature a Celtic player; McGeady being sent off for diving when clearly fouled, Brown being sent off for being attacked by the talnetless no mark that is Kyle Lafferty and then yesterdays farce. Celtic have every right to kick up a fuss, McDonalds decisions against us are suspect at the very least.

thankfully justice prevailed for once; also, Peter Houston's post match comments were an embarrassment, if Lennon had said what he did he'd have been hammered. quite frankly, i think a man who thinks 4-6-0 is the way forward is best ignored!

should be a good game sunday!

Maybe time to wrap this chat now and move on with it.

Big massive game ahead, biggest OF in years, and we should look to that.

    :)

It's so easy to forget how bad the official's were yesterday because we managed to grab the win, however it could have easily been a different result because of their shambolic display yesterday.

Hooper was fouled before the keeper even got near him, so it should have been a pk!
I just watched some guy on sky sports news praising overturning the penalty! The video clip just shows hooper and the keeper, doesnt show how close Mcdonald was, the foul on hooper before the keepers contact, how quickly he pointed to the spot, how sure he looked it was a pen, how far away the linesman was, the position the linesman takes up before suddenly overturning it!

We need to do something about this as we have won the game, we get hounded every time something like this comes up and we drop points, calling it sour grapes etc. Either Mcdonald is at it when it comes to us and is not 100% impartial or he makes these genuine mistakes and he is just not good enough to be a referee, either way he shouldn't be allowed near our games!

Could we start a petition or something to show everyone how unhappy we are with this clown as i feel we are the best team in the league but we will drop points this year if he continues to take charge of our games.

People blame a lot more on Mogga last season than the MANY MANY 'honest mistakes' of the refs. The points add up at the end of the season.

Agreed, thought of that myself during the whole second half. Needless to say forum would be in meltdown.

But we deserved the win. Commentator here said Hooper was likely offside when scored second, but not only did ball hit Kenneth's arm before coming in front of him, it also gave us deserved win after all the * McDonald got away with.

What will make winning the league this season sweeter, is that we play very against a twelth man but they still can't beat us. Bring on the huns!

as usual we will be cast of as paranoid and daft. ''it will balance it's self out over the course of the season'' they will say, will it *. rangers will never be given a penalty and then have it overturned, not this season, not ever. * you douggie mcdonald despite you and your assaistants best efforts the good guys win again. get it right up you.

No suprise really, Dougie Mcdonald has a history and with every passing week the list is getting bigger. Something has to be done about this guy like Mike Mccurry before him.

Thank * he did not get the game on sunday, Willie collum has the gig.

he awards a pen the linesmen doesnt wave his flag and then walks round to take up his position for pen, then he walks over to him and they speak goes back and changes his mind, and then bounces ball on edge of box incredible yet again its us.the history of scottish football is corrution against us,as my granda says 30 years ago celtic dont play against 11 men its 14 if you include the officials, here we are 30 years later and nothing changes and watty throwing in the odd complaint to try and cover all the help they get

As for Hooper "penalty", it wasn't pen at all. McDonald's a *, no argument there, but he got that one right. Also people wanted penalty when Kenneth pushed Hooper, despite it being only slight contact and there were no grounds for penalty.
