You're right, I'd much rather be going into a champions league game against Barca or City with Callum McGregor and Nir Bitton shielding our back four.

Ppl talking about all the CL money and how we should spend a decent amount on bringing in players but, if im right, we dont get that money til next year! If thats the case then we got more than we should have expected in this window given the boards previous for being tight as *.

"Brown, Bitton, McGregor, Armstrong....it's not that bad" jesus christ :56::56::56:

A few years ago our midfield was so good Ki and Kayal were 4th and 5th choice respectively. Both would walk into our current midfield now that's how bad it is.

Brendans gonna have to perform miracles to get that midfield being somewhat competitive in the group stages. I imagine he's feeling really let down at this point.

Lawwell and this board IMO have made too many mistakes now. The fans told them we needed a manager of experience and it's had a positive effect. I'm not looking for fortunes to be spent but some ambition and sense must be shown.

Brendan insisted he had the financial support he needed. Very dissapointed that we didn't get another quality CM or striker in. Considering the profit we've made this summer and the very little we've spent so far, it's another typical Celtic transfer story.

Pretty disappointing,it's the kind of transfer window I would have been happy with had we not qualified for the Champions league. Where's the * ambition?

I'm depressed at the thought we are sticking with a midfield that made any Halliday and Jason Holt looklike Xavi and Iniesta, * me.

Oh well, the only way to look at this is: back 4 sorted, GK (hopefully) sorted, strikers and wide men sorted. So, we will need someone like Rogic, maybe Christie, to step up to the mark. I think it sounds like BR tried to bring in a CM and it didn't work out.

:icon_mrgreen: Tbh, he has regressed again to the old one from the past couple of years, so not wrong there. It's a * of a place that centre of midfield. Has to be one of the least inspiring and into the bargain quality wise worst positions we've ever had.

    Completely agree.

Ledley, Wanyama, Brown and Kayal. Now that was a good pool of midfielders to choose from.

The thought of going until January with Bitton and McGregor regularly featuring is horrible.

A quality cm would have finished the transformation for me, pretty gutted we never got one in would have topped off a really good window so far,im sure we could have spent another 4-5 million without really breaking the bank ah well .....cest la vie

We can't force players to come and we can't/shouldn't just buy anyone on deadline day to please the fans

this isnt football manager or fifa transfers are more complex than you think and its not a disaster if we cant pull off the moves we want

    calm doon
