    I have never seen a player so disgracefully treated by our fans in all my years than this big guy..

    Maybe if he blessed himself at Ibrox or punched a few huns he would get a better reception eh? :rolleyes:

    Looks devoid of confidence and afraid every time he gets the ball .. no * wonder.

    Samaras came with a decent reputation and did OK to start with, before he split the fans to a point.

    Murphy was written off as soon as he signed and was never given a chance with the fans .. what chance did the guy have?

    Never seen anythin like it, the guy looks like he's terrified to make a mistake ... it's * shameful.

    Thought he did OK yesterday, but far from convinced that he is the answer to the problems. The fact remains, he possesses one quality that none of the others currently in the squad possess & that is his prowess in the air. He has also shown on occasion he can have a OK touch, but these occasions are too few.

    If Maloney continues to be played as a auxillery forward & (for arguement's sake) if Bellamy does sign, Murphy's place in the squad will be all the more important. It is his ability in the air that makes him a necessary part of the squad for those away trips on pitches that are awful for trying to play the ball along the deck.

    Think he gets a lot of unnecessary abuse. Remember he scored that cracking goal last season? And he was one of the best performers for us yesterday. I wouldn't have him in the first team, but he's a decent squad player to have. Good enough for the SPL anyway.

    Kinda annoys me, I completely agree with Rosses post, the thing is no one gave him a chance at all, because they looked at the * statistics on the wikipedia, yeah he might not be the best but he * tries. Murphy deserves alot better from our fans, and in that case, so does Sammy, if Lenny wants to keep them two in his quest to win the league season then BACK THEM! Get behind them and maybe it gives them confidence, because thats what the main thing a player needs, Murphy and Samaras lack confidence.

    i dont think we treat him bad at all mate. someone opened a thread about him so people have there opinions. just because hes a celtic player doesnt mean we cannit say hes *.

    i dont think theres one person on here that doesnt wish him well when he plays, but the fact is we think hes *.

    i know for a fact he doesnt get booed or heckled when playing, maybe the odd bloke turning to his mate and saying something.

    he was as * when at sunderland mate. infact my sunderland supporting mates ripped the * out of me for celtic signing him.

    i for one dont think our fans are a disgrace, but just angry our money is being spent on murphey.

    no onw on hear wishes him todo badly or wishes him * up. he just does:50:

    give me a jersey and i will play for nothing mate, save us 15,000 squid a week. murphey doesnt "deserve" anything either. he gets treated the same way all people in his profession do. respect him for being a pro footballer but has to deliever due to his short carear and extemely high wages.

    and he simply hasnt. he was total * at sunderland and now hes * here. i dont dislike the guy and hope he plays great every game but the fact is he isnt going to. he has his chance everyday by playing in training and he obviously doesnt do it.

    The guy just doesnt inspire confidence and if fans dont like him fair enough but spare us the bleeding heart scenario about backing the team,nobody boos him when he plays.I think if we got an offer he would be offloaded smartish.

    he played ok yesterday , but to say he played brilliant is over the top , its getting to the stage where if one of our bad players like murphy, loovens, samaras etc dont do anything wrong its classed as them playing brilliant ,theres a new thread opend and someones saying they should be starting over one average performence against an average side. :38:
