Did anyone see that picture? Here's the article from vitalfootball.

Rather than just take a few cheap shots at Celtic, today's Daily Record has gone disgustingly further by helping to further a gross slur on Scotland's greatest manager.

For those who haven't seen today's edition - and there is rarely a good reason to buy the tabloid, anyway - a sub-editor has apparently decided to use his position to help further The Big Lie.

As can be seen in the image below, beneath a picture of a banner unfurled at Ibrox on Saturday, a caption beginning "BIG JOCK CREW" has been added - a clear reference to the Rangers-backed slur that continues to perpetuate.

So, it would seem the Record has now declared war not only on Celtic, but also on basic decency. Hopefully Celtic will hit back at this - there can be no excuses not to as this will not go away, even if our men in suits would rather bury their heads in the sand.

If anybody at the Record claims they were not aware of The Big Lie, perhaps they would like to go back through their previous editions to October 1 2007 and to George Galloway's column under the headline "Twisted Assault On A True Football Legend". There is no use in denying knowledge here.

Clearly the Daily Record should be avoided at all costs, but the percentage of the Celtic support who touch the rag must be small already. So surely it is time to go further? If they want to escalate this situation, then surely it is time to boycott not only every publication of the Record's parent company, Trinity Mirror, but also all of their advertisers?

Trinity Mirror own the following national newspapers:

    - Daily Mirror
    - Sunday Mirror
    - Daily Record
    - Sunday Mail
    - The People

They also own a large portfolio of regional newspapers - see here.

But, even with that in mind, it remains clear that the Celtic board MUST act now before this starts getting even more disgusting and blatant. They have a responsibility to repay all that Jock Stein did for this club - that they have comfortable jobs is thanks in no small part to what he did for the club.

They made a feeble attempt at an apology in a tiny section of today's Record. Barely visible.

    Their apology reads....

    OLD FIRM WINNER
A caption in yesterday's Old Firm Winner offended some readers. We regret causing any offence.

buy the paper but that will be the last time today. Think all fans should now boycott this paper seen the small apology at the bottom of the page didnt know what it was in reference to but that caption is nothing short of scandalous. Time to take action here and hurt them where it hurts them most in the pocket!

For sites like this, there's clearly a level of management and correspondence. What would it take for the members of these sites to orchestrate a campaign against the likes of the Record, where we hit them in the pocket? I am completely serious about this. Other Celtic sites must be aware of the hun bias this paper has and I'm sure they'd be interested in helping the idea grow legs. There are a lot of fans out there who are unaware of the BJK * the huns have been encouraging and will continue to buy filth like the Record. It's effectively feeding the enemy. There's nothing illegal about boycotting a product. The internet is the only truly free media and should be used to help a campaign of awareness against the Mirror group.

This is how it feels to be Celtic
Is it *. It's a reference to how successful we were during his time at Celtic. It was designed to get up their (blue) noses because they are already so excited like they've won the SPL. Just to show them how * stupid and jealous they are.
