Dont know if im the first to post this. But Crosas's error on Saturday leading to St Mirren's goal. Trying to take a touch in your own box facing your own goal. If that had been one of our CB the forum would have been inindated with posts like this. Trying not to be negative and get behind the Bhoys but with defending like that, well always run the risk of teams scoring against us. :shamrock:

He needs to adapt quickly to the pace of our game because he's still got the Spanish game mentality of having time on the ball.

    Not really a fan tbh.

I like Crosas personally, I think he should be in the midfeild every game ahead of N'Guemo. One mistake that he will hopefully learn and improve on, In all I'm not to bothered about that mistake to be honest, at the end of the day we won comfortably and it could have been by a few more

The defence stood and watched it 2 of them were behind the ball and one at the side, at least he threw himself at it before a striker got in there, although he showed his inexperience by making the mistake!!

I think he is a good squad player, and a good player to have around the first team, and a pretty reliable squad player.

the guy is a quality footballer and will prove it in games to come. Our whole team looks better when hes on spreading the passes.

Yes his control was poor for the goal, as was loovens' attempted clearance, but Zaluszka came out to narrow the angle and turbed away from the ball before it was hit. He should be throwing himself at it, and not diving out the way

I think the reason that there hasn't really been anything made of it, because that was really the only mistake that Celtic made at the weekend, the game was comfortable for us, wasn't the best to watch mind you, but we didn't look at anytime in the game that we would slip up. Infact apart from that, I can't remember Zaluska being tested, if he was it was shots that went wide, but you can't expect a team to come to Celtic Park & not have shots, but ye was our only fault, & we could have won the game by 5 or 6 in the end..

The real reason I think that not much has been made about it, is Crosas as usually our most composed player on the ball, & I can't really remember him making a mistake before Saturday, no majour mistake, so I think we can all excuse him for that, We didn't drop any points, we lost a clean sheet yes, but the main thing we won the game & we did :icon_mrgreen:, The team will get better as the weeks go on, & the mistakes will stop happening I think..
The Team is under alot of pressure at the minute to go out & change its fortune on the park, the players are trying so hard to entertain us, that they are making stupid errors, if they just went out & done there thing, we would be pleased, but I think the side is going in the right direction, & I don't think you will see Crosas making anymore mistakes like that..

He's right though, if it was Caldwell that made that mistake the forum would have went in to meltdown with all the "I hate Caldwell threads".

The point is, if the ball is coming anywhere near our box, hoof it in to row z. That way we're not taking any chances. Maybe if our defence went back to basics we would not be so bad.

Well that's pretty obvious isn't it? That's because Caldwell and McManus have put in so many crap shifts that they deserve to have threads written complaining about them. Crosas, on the other hand, has had one defensive lapse, which every player has at one point or another, and therefore does not deserve to have a thread written on him.

Caldwell & McManus have made umpteen mistakes all very similar, they have shown a total inability to learn from their mistakes & as a result deserve all the stick they get.

Crosas has now made a major mistake & you should see from his performances in the future, that he has the intellegence to learn from his mistakes.

If he starts to make more of these errors, you will soon see the fans getting on his back & quite righty so.

The fact that we're not on his back, proves that he hasn't made any * mistakes regulary.....FFS!

Why are some people talking like Crosas has never made mistakes before? He's a very clumsy player at times.

I'm prepared to forgive him, seeing as we won the match, everyone makes mistakes and anyway the defence was a bit of a mess In the first place. He is a good player and a good passer, just needs to get used to the Scottish game imo

I don't rate him at all to be honest. I was willing to give him a chance but I think we get caught up in the idea that he played for Barcelona and don't acknowledge that if it was Scott Brown disappearing in games like Crosas tends to we would tear him to shreds.

I think I am one of the few looking forward to Brown returning.:shamrock:

I wasnt too sure on him. He played well when he came in to the team in WGS time, then fell away. Thought he was on his way out when TM didnt play him. I think he has been really good since he has came back in. He rarely wastes the ball and is always looking for the ball.

The mistake came froom him trying to take theball down and play out of defence. If it had been a Scottish player it would have been blootered. It is just the different style. I think that I can forgive him for one mistake.

IMO he is better than N'Guemo and I would rather see us give Crosas a shot than keep him in the team
