In todays sun, would love to get him back. :50:

CELTIC are ready to make a cut-price £5million move for West Ham striker Craig Bellamy.

Gordon Strachan has been eyeing the player since the Londoners’ current cash problems developed.
And the Hoops boss means to be first in the queue as a host of clubs cast their eyes over the Hammers’ prize assets.
Bellamy, who spent four months on loan at Celtic Park under Martin O’Neill in 2005, is likely to be released in the New Year because of the Hammers’ financial difficulties.
And he would jump at the chance of a return to the Scottish champions, where he became a crowd hero during his loan spell.
Bellamy, 29, has cost £31m in transfer fees since Strachan took him to Coventry from Norwich for £6.5m in August 2000. But the player’s reputation is not a worry.
A Celtic source revealed: “Gordon is desperate to land him. He isn’t concerned by his reputation, having handled the younger version and others like Noel Whelan.
“Bellers was a huge hit when he was on loan up here and, at around £5m, the signing would be good business.”

This is going to be a controversial thread. but I'd take him back in a minute!

We're lacking a quality striker, his goals from his loan spell show he is a quality player. I'm excited about this story, even thought it's in The Sun, I think there could be some truth to it.

I think we'll get Larsson but I'd settle for Bellamy as he's better than what we've got.

5m is a lot, but the media don't have a * clue on transfer fees anyway. I'd take him.

5m for a player with an attitude/injury history is a big risk. He could be a great addition or a huge disaster.

You dont know what goes on in someones head ,but i would love him to play for the bhoys again .only concern is the injury side of it ,but if it was to happen and he stayed free from injury he would be a great buy im sure .

5m for a 29 year old on huge wages with little or no sell on value?

Nae chance. * journalists attempting to up the expectations of the fans so they can turn on Celtic and accuse them of penny pinching when it doesn't happen.

Take Bellamy in a minute, real quality and better than what is there already, who would you pair him with JVH?

Hes had 3 and a haf years since he was here, hopefully he realises the premiership aint all that and trips to Inverness are better

If he could stay injury free then he'd rip the SPL apart. But how many games has he played in the last three years? We can't afford to * 5m plus 40k a week on wages for a guy who only plays half a season. He's a poor man's Michael Owen.
