    Dear George,

I had the pleasure of speaking with you last night on the subject of Neil Lennon. Unfortunately I was not afforded the opportunity to make my main point, however, I understand the time constraints you have to take into consideration for each and every caller.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of the adopted stance you have taken against Neil Lennon and I'll now tell you the main reasons why. The intense pressure Neil Lennon has been under these past three months has been truly horrendous for the following reasons:

    1. Three times in the last three months he and his family have been woken during the night and moved to a safe location at the behest of the Special Branch.
    2. Last month the UDA sent bullets in the post to Neil Lennon (the same gang whom the PSNI strongly suspect as being behind the murder of Kevin McDaid as recently as 2009.
    3. Several Facebook campaigns calling for the murder of Neil Lennon and/or his young family.
    4. A hoax bomb is addressed to his family home and investigated by police at a sorting office.

I cannot think of any other British, or world football manager for that matter, that has to cope with similar conditions of employment can you?

The above should have been the only matter worthy of your time and consideration concerning Neil Lennon last night. I would have thought any decent minded person would conclude the above factors are worthy of cutting him some slack at the very least. The fact that you instead called for his head on a platter is nothing short of disgraceful. I was disgusted and no doubt the vast majority of the Celtic support were also.

I accept you may not be aware of some of the above factors contributing to the pressure Neil Lennon and his family are under but shame on you and your researches for not making yourself aware of the facts concerning your chosen subject topic. The fact that you may not be aware of all the facts also points towards the hush hush attitude that prevails in Scotland concerning anti Irish racism.

The horrific abuse Neil Lennon is suffering has not been given the attention it deserves by the Scottish media or by our politicians. I hope you dont adopt the same lilly livered approach as other public figures.

    Yours sincerely,

    ***********

Is George Galloway now pandering to the masses. It seems everybody in Scotland outside the Celtic family hate Neil Lennon and many rejoice in his troubles. For this the media are entirely to blame. George Galloway has now joined this media witchhunt.

shocked at GG take on this. NL has right to protest at an opposing player if he assaults his physio as he runs onto the pitch to treat an injured player.
im really shocked at you GG as i have alot of respect for you. :54:

I must say i have lost respect for GG, (i wonder how much of this stuff he's spouting is his own though) when the * went off with Keys and Gray he spent about an hour talking like a hate filled feminist. As I say i'm not sure how much of what he's spouting recently is fed to him from his bosses in order to keep him in a job. For me he used to be able to do no wrong, he spoke sense 99% of the time, now he speaks sense 90% of the time. He is still a legend for me though and the only true voice of the left and a man of the people.

Galloway is a man I admired. His stance on the Iraq war,Palestine, racism,Islamophobia etc,is one to be admired imo.I don't agree with him on issues such as independance, but he's entitled to his own opinion. However if he refuses to acknowledge that Neil Lennon has been a victim of a sectarian hate campaign, and condemns him.Well then I am inclined to say he can go and * himself.

Well said to be honest, this is certainly the view of pretty much all of our supporters. It's been a while since the support has been behind a manager like this.

Its getting sickening the way the finger of blame is getting directed towards Neil Lennon and Celtic FC for the current situation regarding the old firm and I think Galloway reeks of hypocrisy considering the frame ups that has been threw at him.

As far as him slating Neil Lennon because of forth coming elections, I think he has shot himself in the foot because the huns detest him anyway and would never vote him and I think he may have lost a few from right minded Celtic fans with his stance on Lenny.

Its astonishing that the fish bowl clique mentality seems to be skipping over the unquestionable facts as to whom is vastly responsible for the climate that the recent old firm matches have reached.

Imo, Spitting on someone is possibly one of the most degrading insults you could inflict on them.
If a Celtic manager were to sign an animal in the same caliber as Diouf, I would lose total respect for them.
Walter Smith knew what he was at when he signed Diouf and it was no tactical move as far as footballing was concerned but to antagonize the Celtic team and fans in a desperate attempt to win the league in his last years reign at mordor, as he knew how well we were progressing as a team and with loss of Miller and Commons rejecting them in the January window, this would be the only way he could possibly fulfill his achievement.

In Belfast we would more or less be subjected to the English version of newspapers and most columnists who have wrote about the old firm events seem to vent the theory of the fore mentioned Diouf is at the heart of the powder keg and they seem to be at a total misunderstanding of the reality of why Smith actually did sign him considering that they know only too well of his brutal and repulsive reputation in the English premier.

As much as I dislike the huns, I did always have a bit of respect for Smith and always thought there was a sense of honor in his character.

How * naive was I? And * you too Galloway!! Away back into Big brother, you don't have to act like a *, you are one.

ive always had alot of respect for george, his political stances.

but if he's slandering lennon, then my respect for him has taken a nose dive.

though i havent seen any evidence to prove such claims..so i'll wait.

galloway's a traitor. a scumbag turncoat. the more people that know about it the better. he knew what he was doing alright. sold his sould for a few hun votes now that he's standing for the scottish parliament. politics is just a money making business for him. I'm convinced of that now after hearing the scumbag turn for myself.

Thing is.................would any huns vote for him?
Certainly wouldn,t be the ones that attacked him at Glasgow Airport.

George has lost this voter in the Scottish elections in May.
