Over the past five years or so i,ve noticed a sharp rise in folk using this drug, through mates ,family and folk at work. However what surprises me is the fact that it is a hard drug which can wreck lives, but it does n,t seem to have the stigma attached to it as other hard drugs like heroin.

The attitude which i,ve saw is"oh i,m gonna get full of ching tonight" statements as if I should be impressed

    Anyone else noticed this?

You're spot on, it's disgusting. I don't give a flying monkeys what anyone says, I've used it myself and I've had pubs full of zombies (before I put sulphuric acid on all the bathroom surfaces) It turns people into complete arseholes, devoid of making any sense whatsoever. It's *, * filth.

And I'll say another thing, there's no 250 CA meetings in Glasgow a week for a laugh by the way.

i find nothing more annoying than standing in a pub with people beside me constantly sniffing and rubbing there noses....would love if these people could actually take a step back and see how much of a * there actually being while on the drug....i have never tried it and never want to which alot of people would throw up in my face ' you cant judge until youv tried'...not my kind of scene.....altho i do get my own back while working a few shifts in the pub always make sure i have dosed the toilet surfaces in bleach

Horrible drug, it rots; your bank balance, your beak, your appetite and very likely a lot of relationships with loved one's.

It's became acceptable now, i remember i found out a close friend had taken it when we were 18 or 19 and i decked him on his driveway for his stupidity which was universally accepted as the right thing to do. Fast forward 5 or 6 years and everyone else is doing it.

I've done it a bit, but I don't really like it. It gets you *' buzzin but it's just not worth the crash... I always feel like *. There's so much more you can do that doesn't have as many negative consequences.

And I agree with the original post that it doesn't have that stigma any more. Girls use it here to stay slim like it's * candy, some girl died last year overdosing and they still carry on like nothing happened. I'd venture to say that, at least in Southern California, Ecstasy, Cocaine, Shrooms, and LSD aren't considered "hard" anymore on the same level as heroine. (I've never thought of Shrooms or LSD as hard, but some people used to)

Don't really like the drug, i've taken it a couple of times, and what can i say? It is alright. The problem i have with it was that a lot of my clubbing mates replaced ecstasy with coke and after parties turned from chilled out love ins to shout fests.

A lot of people i know take it but it is a weekend thing. I've never classed coke with heroin because you can get addicted to that very easily and doing it basically means it becomes your life.

I saw there was some research in the paper yesterday that said that prolonged ecstasy use was better for you than smoking or drinking. I'd much rather have the people of Scotland pilled or stoned rather than coked or steaming, thats for sure.

The whole point of addiction is that you CANT control it mate.Be careful ,cocaine ruins more lives than just yours.

Charlie for me used to be a weekend drug, as soon as someone mentioned it on a friday night i wanted some, one weekend last year between thursday to tuesday i rallted an ounce. The next 3 weeks after that i wanted to do myself in.
I still partake but in small amounts, it is as people say an addicition but its nowhere as bad as smack.
I "think" i can control it well it can control it when i am working but when i am not i am like a maniac on it.
    Hail Hail
