not heard anything but that would be fantastic if true, he could coach midfield & defence too. the man was awesome wherever he played.

    Yeh,

I always thought it strange that such a great striker, could also be a defender :)

as far as i knew chris gave up the game due to fitness problems with his ankle, knee and back.....so for me this sounds unlikely. but what a player with an awful lot experience he could pass on.
i'd love it to be true.

Was it not his eye that finally forced him to retire?

I think you are right SKydiver that it was his eye injury that forced him to retire.

Although I think this could be good if true, as he certainly knew how to find the back of the net, how many coaches do we need at the club?

Would love big Sutty back, more so than Lennon tbh. The big guy loved his time here and hated the huns aswell. It was an eye injury that forced him to retire.

I'd love to see him back at the club too but i think we'd need an upper deck on the dug-out,unless it was maybe a few days a week position not full time.Nigel Winterbourne has been doing something similar in England with defences.

Never seen someone make such an impact as he did when we beat Barca at home 1-0. Came off the bench and completely turned the game around. Fantastic player.

Would rather see us bring in more playing staff than coaching staff at the moment...
