Who do you think will have more chance of beating United? Will Barca be ablel to outscore and win although their defence is quite weak even with all players available, or can do Chelsea have a better chance of just nicking a goal and shutting up shop....

I'd prefer a Barca final, it would make a better match..

Hopefully Barca come through but I can't see them beating both Chelsea and Manchester United.

For all Barcas strength going forward they are very supect in defence, particularly set pieces and strong players, like Ronaldo and Drogba will run riot.

Unfortunately I agree with that, hope we are both wrong though and Barca beats them both.

A fair assessment, plus I get the impression they're a bit burnt out physically. They'll also be without Puyol and Marques, which is a big blow to morale.

They'll have to lift their game to beat Chelski - hopefully, and I pray to the gods, they will.

I'll be watching it in a Barça supporter's bar here in the village with a bit of luck.

Mon the Barça! Right intae rum!

If Chelsea make any attempt at going for a win then we should have a good game, however that's a big if.

I think we all agree a Barca v Man Utd would be a far more entertaining final.

    Mon the Barca!

Have a soft spot in my heart for the Catalans, hope they win the competition this year. Raped Madrid so they should do well against Chelski, although knowing Hiddink we could see a cagey, tactical and ultimately successful performance from the Londoners.

Way I see it is, sure Barca's defence will be suspect tonight and Drogba will run riot. Won't Messi, Iniesta, Henry, Eto'o, Xavi?

A goal for Barcelona is twice as valuable as a goal for Chelsea. I'd be surprised if Barcelona don't score two.

Tough, really tough tie. As far as I'm concerned, I'll be supporting Manchester United in the final, so either of these two giants are welcome in Rome.

With any luck Barca will run riot.

I can see Chelsea still shutting up shop however, they must realise there's no better attacking force in European football and if they can sneak a goal they could hold out.

Barcelona missing Puyol, Marquez and I believe Milito as well is a massive blow. I think Caceres will have to play in beside Pique? Either that or move Abidal in one and play Syvinho at left back.

the only way chelski will win tonight is if the defend for a 120 mins and take them to pens!! cos if they dont barca will destroy them, and i hope they do! cmon barca.

yep, i reckon if chelsea go forward barca will get them on the counter attack, especially with the front three of messi eto and henry (if he plays).

    :50:

Barca could get caught with Drogba and Anelka up front against their weakened defence...

The worst thing that could happen would be if Chelsea scored in the first 10-15 mins.... It would be shut up shop after that...

I have a couple of quid on 2-2. And Drogba to score first.

Henry being out is a good thing IMO. Obviously he's world class, but they've still got goals in Messi, Eto'o, Iniesta and Xavi.

Difference is, Henry's replacement is an extra defensive minded midfielder so it'll give them a bit more breathing space in the middle.
