St Mirren wait for Mulgrew answer

Mulgrew enjoyed a good spell at Tannadice last season

St Mirren manager Gus MacPherson is still waiting for an answer from Celtic as he bids to sign left-back Charlie Mulgrew before the end of the month.
Mulgrew, 23, spent part of last season on loan with Dundee United and has not featured for Celtic this term.
"He is still a Celtic player at the moment and we are still waiting to see what will happen," said MacPherson.
"We have made an enquiry, but we are now into double figures in terms of the players we've enquired about." Reports have suggested that Mulgrew turned down the chance to join Wolverhampton Wanderers as part of a deal to bring Lee Naylor to Celtic Park.

Is he as old as 23, ffs hes hardly a boy, where has he been the last 5 years??? i thought he was only 19 or so, no wonder he is * off with WTS for not playing him.

well he did well for dundee united, i seem remember our other full bakc a mr wilson did well for the same team, and he is shithot.

Thats indeed a strange case. I assume something must have happened behind closed gates. Cant believe he is supposed to be worse than Telfer??

 

Mark wilson is good, as for Mulgrew there was something in the paper a few weeks ago that he was fined for being 5mins late for training, and he was raging?

 

i heard somthing about a training ground bust up with GS because he was late, somthimg out of his hands had caused it but GS fined him anyway.....dont know what truth there is in it.

 

He's more than likelly being offloaded to wolves in the naylor deal

 

Wilson is terrible, fair enough he is still young and learning but cmon did u see him against ICT, they were quite happy to leave him unmarked down the wing cos they knew he would do * all with the space. His runs are so predictable and 9 times out of ten are stoped with ease. the guy struggled takn throw ins at the weekend ffs.

 

how can you say wilson is * poor? hes the new McNamara, i think hes a class act already and hes only 21!!!

our best player this season so far.

 

hes a defender ffs! folk dont usually mark defenders!! fair enoug he supports attack when he can, but your the first fan i've come across who has a bad word to say about wilson, everyone i've spoke to thinks he is a great player.

IMO wilson is one of the players who you know what your gonna get week in week out, a good steady performance, not many mistakes. on top of that hes Scottish, young, a 'tic fan and tries to support attack. Perfect in my eyes.

 

cmon guys remove the green and white blinkers. He's D UTD quality at best not celtic quality. Can u huys honestly say he would get a game for a top 10 premiership club? no * way!

 

see thats why we have problems, for some reason a lot of our fans think that WE ARE a premiership team, we play in the SPL.

if i'm being honest i think he'd get a game for teams like Bolton, Pompey, Middlesbrough, those type. I mean Paul Telfer played for quite a few seasons in the EPL, and i reckon wilson is 10 times the player he is.

 

comparing him to telford....well that confirms it he must be good.

 

your missing my point, i'm saying hes better than telfer, and telfer managed to play season after season in the EPl, so if Wilson is better than a player who commanded a regualr start in the EPl then Wilson would be good enough for their league.

 

yea he's better than telfer , but in his day telfer was better than him. simple as that, he has youth on his side.
