Using a west brit to write it will legitimise it.

So what, don't watch it if you're just offended by the subject, nevermind even judging it after you've seen it. Thats what crazy fundmentalist religious coonts do, like that guy that wrote the Satanic Verses, half the Muslim world were up in arms, and about 0% of them had even read it, they just knew it had the prophet Mohamed in it or something and they lost there * like big * cry baby *.

    Probably be * anyway,

It might just be set during the famine- it's happened a lot in black comedy, they use really awful events in history, like Blackadder goes Forth.

And if it has been written by an Irish person, is he being racist toward himself?

Nah, the Dubs are great, if everyone were like us this country wouldn't be *!

And I agree with Torrance. Calm yourselves before getting all up in arms about something that hasn't even been made yet.

Sometimes comedy can deliver in a more poignant way than drama.

    If done properly.

I'm sure they'll wouldn't commissioning something that is a touchy subject for millions of people if they knew is was going to be distasteful.

However if wrote correctly i think there is potential for it to be a hit. like what scrubs or 4 lions type achieved with dark comedy
