right Celtic have bought or brought to the club promising youngsters for the future but you know that anyway.

    hows this for an idea,
we here about Celtics international scouting network so in stead of making them play in the reserves week in week out or getting a taste for the first team only to be left out again

why don't Celtic let them play for the club where they came from, after all that's where they have played and been noticed in the first place,
the likes of mizuno a young man over here and probably a bit homesick and playing in the reserves,

let him stay in japan playing his football for maybe the 1st year then bring him over as wee Gordy said ,he s a bit young to play at the moment because of culture and language ,if he was to stay in japan play regular football with his club ,learn English and mature /fill out as a player then come here ,what a difference there would be in the young star

another would have been Ben Hutchinson when Celtic bought him he was doing well at his former club since his arrival at Celtic hes playing in reserves against lesser opposition
if he was left where he was he could get better by playing in better company

same could be said for more of our future players

the scouting network that we are supposed to have could check on them at any time

    thoughts

i think this thread is one of my best ones

I'm not sure how that would work, do we buy the player and then get him a year later?

i agree totally mate good thread:50:

i've been saying we need to let more of our youngsters out on loan

most good players have been out on loan at young age, especially in england so i think this would be good for the club. As if they stay at their team they would get a game and would have the incentive to try harder as they know that celtic awaits

we buy the player as normal then say to the his club, look you can keep him for the time being 6 months for free we will pay his wages let him progress with you as normal

if celtic did this ,we would see him in better company against better players ,gaining experience ,then when he came to celtic you would have a player ready for the step up and a better all rounder

I see what you mean now.

I think for that to work, the club holding the player would need to pay a percentage of his wages. But it might be easier to send these players out on loan to gain first team experience.

Nah because then when they come back it would be like startin all over again, being with the club just now the players get to know all the other players through training, get used to our culture, weather etc

    Edit
The best idea is to loan the players out out to another club in this country, as if they dont like where they live, theyre not gonna want to stay

im gonny put my hand on heart and say that MIZUNO is the most exciting youngstar ive saw for ages

no matter where he goes hes gonny be a superstar, imagine him in japan for the last year plying his trade getting bigger stronger and getting used to the idea of leaving his home country ,his mindset would be so high you would see a special talent grace celtic park

in stead hes in the reserves missing home wondering whats next for him

I see where you're coming from, however with players like Mizuno it wouldn't work too well, i'd rather have him in the reserves to get used to our culture and the scottish game.

its a good idea davie but if you think about it mate after a year doing that then comming over there will be a big chance that they will need to get used to the way the game is played here and not over there.
all cultures are different and they woud perhaps take time regardless to settle in a new enviroment.but i like your idea mate:50:

youve got to remember though the players im talking about are the future stars, not fringe players, the future could mean in 2 seasons time or more ,im just saying theres no rush to have them here when there happlily working well where they were ,there would be plenty of time to get them in the celtic way

i just dont see the hurry to have them here when they arent gonny play for at least a season as in what happend with kookie mizuno

You are very wrong about ben hutchinson, he was in the boro reserves when we got him.

What would be the reaction of the team you are buying from?

Wouldn't they want to build a team around players that were going to stick around for the forseeable future.

My thoughts exactly I think there would be some protest from the teams we are buying these players from.

Also if we are buying these players from smaller clubs they would n't have the benefits of our training facilities or coaching staff

Hmmm, Im not sure If i agree with that, For one the players wont get to form bonds with other players and coaches, Aswell as getting used to thing's like the managers tactic's.

Also in certain countries the style of play is different, For example if you buy a full back from S. America, They are developed to attack, Whereas In scotland the fullbacks main priority should be to defend, Then when they finally come over they could be very good in attacking sense they may be very weak defensively. But if you get them over ASAP you may end up developing an all round good player.

i think its a good idea, but what if hes playing for his "other" club and gets a serious injury? would their be a law suit or compensation? They would gain alot more experience tho and be able to progress alot better than playing against st mirren reserves on a friday afternoon.
