Go and sign some attackers now, Celtic. Already a bit late in terms of settling in / integrating the new players but better late than never! A very winnable qualifier if we have the appropriate firepower, and a strong August will set us up for another successful season.

No way the Board are going to sit back now.
This comparatively easy draw and Rangers faltering already, will encourage them to invest to speculate, is my line of thinking.
The Celtic Board will smell money to be made here, and will be ruthless.

 

The board do not look at any of details as suggested in posts above and change tact - they certainly don't consider the sporting side of the club.
They only notice big changes in the bank balance - ie if we get UCL cash or not.
They even assume we won't qualify - which is astonishingly negative way of thinking.

The big biscuit tin is closed and the wee biscuit tin with the loose change is all Brendan has.

There is an outside chance of it being prised slightly open if Brendan 'does his job right' and gets past qualifier.

 

We really need to be hearing about some movement in the market this week. Even if you give some leeway for the fact that players and agents do keep their options open, we need to bring quality players in, get them training with the squad and get them match ready. There's very little time to do that with such important games coming up.

 

I hope you're right but they haven't done much in the past to fill us with confidence

Those CU weekly rumours sounds like a load of guff

 

Im not sure the draw has been a major factor in how the window has been going. Something has clearly broken down behind the scenes regarding the players Rodgers has been offered and wants. His messaging has focussed on quality and thee need to convince the board on the level of quality needed. So Im guessing hes been underwhelmed with the options provided and it looks like hes prepared to take the board in a game of chicken. He knows that the clock ticking down is building pressure on the board to act and hes in the last year of his contract so he can apply maximum leverage.

It is heartbreaking our lack of activity so far, a couple of big signings are required to restore the supporters confidence as it is now at the oh * stage.
