Wouldn't change it too much, as motherwell will be well up for this and too many debutants may not be the best way to go...

Although I do think we need a LB at LB and return Charlie to LCB where he is definitely best, so one debutant in Badr.

Commons keeps his place on the bench until he returns to form - which is for Lenny to see in training and which may have happened already. If this is the case then Commons returns to LM, Ledley moves to LCM and Ki drops to the bench.

And keep Stooper up front with Bangura coming off the bench.

And no, no, no, no, no to a front 3 with Stokesy playing wide - it just doesn't make sense and won't work!!! Also, please no dropping of Stokesy either, as he's done nothing to merit it and is linking up well with Hooper again!

    Forster
    M Wilson - K Wilson - Mulgrew - El Kaddouri
    Brown - Kayal - Ki - Ledley
    Hooper - Stokes

    Subs;
    Zaluska
    Cha
    Maj/Loovens
    Matthews
    Wanyama
    Forrest

    McCourt
    Commons
    Bangura

Mark Wilson hasn't done anything wrong but I think Matthews offers a little more going forward. Ki/Ledley is a toss-up for me. If El Kadouri is a real attacking fullback we may be better with Ledley for cover. If he can defend his own position I'd go for Ki. Like to see Bangura get 20 min or so off the bench (depending on the score) for Forrest and let him play with Stooper up front.

Now that is what I would want to see but we know Brown will be played. End of.
But I think after having some time off COmmons will be back to his best.
And I seriously dount Maj will be dropped too. Love that to happen but it won't.
I'd rather see Maj take a step back from first team action for a while. No good enough.

But I'm confident we'll get a good display and a good result on Saturday.

I don't think we can get away with two wingers, certainly not if we're playing two attacking fullbacks. We need at least three in the middle of the park to allow Matthews/Wilson and Izzy/ElKad to get forward with either Brown pinching in on the right or Ledley on the left. I don't remember one game where we played two wingers and did well. We could maybe do that if we played a flat back four with Mulgrew at left back and M.Wilson at right as long as the played their position more than going forward.

That should be engraved in * marble outside Celtic Park, the amount of people who think that playing more attacking players = more goals in ridiculous. We played 2 wingers under Mowbray and it meant we were comepletely overrun in the middle of the park and it directly lead to a lot of the disastrous results from him.

+1 we need brown on the right to add muscle to midfield, half the reason our defence was so good last season was down to the work rate of Brown, Kayal & Ledley in the middle.

i'd still start Commons on the left supporting Stokes and Hooper, bit of patience needed with Commons, 1 goal and he'll be flying again. Forrest to come on against a tired defence.

I would love to see Lennon go with this team:

I think the three in midfield have the ability and work ethic to make a 4-3-3 work. Stokes drifts out wide as it is, & by the looks of things Bangura also does this. Anyone of the the front 3 could play through the middle and Commons/McCourt/Forrest can be brought on as one of the wide forwards.

3-0 Celtic. (Hooper, Stokes & Bangura.)

Looking forward to this, should be a good test for our players. Motherwell have got off to a flyer this season.

We need to give McCall's huns a good skelping ahead of our trips to Madrid and the shitpit.

    4-0 to the leather belts.

    No Majstorovic PLEASE !!

Back to basics in CM as Kayal / Ledley were our best and most efficient pairing last season. Maybe tough to leave Ki out, but I´m not sure if he was on international duty this week, and we´ll need him in Madrid and at the Zoo...

Bangoura on at some point in 2nd half to get a wee look at his skills. A run out for Forrest too, + Paddy if some Magic´s required to break the deadlock...

Normally, I'd say no to Majstorovic, but he's worth a shout this weekend, as we could rest K.Wilson or Mulgrew.
