Win this and we head into the Shakhtar game knowing a win for us will see us qualify if Madrid win in Leipzig on the same night.

Again, like during the week, the first goal is absolutely crucial. If we score first we’ll beat them 2-1 or 3-1. If we don’t it could be another long night.

Seen they drew with a mediocre German team in the league today. They look * when you just see their results but will be a huge effort to beat them.

Haksabanovic has to start.

 

Nothing against Juranović, but Ralston's long passes and a tenacious, no-nonsense attitude would help us both in defense and offense. I hope to * Hatate is not wasted sitting in front of the defense. His mobility is far too precious.

Expecting nothing from this..

We're missing too many chances and too shaky at the back..

Would love 2nd spot in the group but, going on our recent form, I think the best we can hope for is 3rd

 

We play anything like past couple of weeks they'll beat us with a bit to spare, but if we're on form then we have a chance.

Fun fact: They’ve no won away since April (in the league or Europe).

I’m quietly confident about it tbh, feel like with the crowd behind us we’ll get a big performance out of the bhoys, similar to the Madrid first half.

Good pick. My brain tells me Mooy can be a stabilising influence in DMF and spray the passes around. That's why Ange gets paid to pick the team and not us.

 

Massive game and we must win. Need to kill off this game in the first half rather than praying for miracle goals to come in the last 10 minutes. I hope the players are not thrashed in training and have the legs for a good 90 mins on Tuesday.
The loss of Calmac is clear but this is when the team needs to step up and take charge. Injuries are part of the game, nothing new.

Must take the lead in the first half and add to it and maintain it to the end.. Must be wary of the German counter-attacks down the channels in groups of four.

Fans need to create an intense atmosphere for Victory on Tuesday and spur the boys on, singing the names of players who impress and the team in general. Not frenzied play, we need deliberate play and cool, accurate finishing. Must shoot low and not high.

 

Would be starting McCarthy before Mooy tbh although I’d hope it’s Abildgaard.
