Maeda will play not sure who instead off but he is suspended for Bayern at home so I think he will play.

I agree with the rest of the team, maybe Engels for Hatate just because he was on the bench at the weekend there.

We look spoilt for choice again. I know we only signed a couple of players, but we have got some duffers out.

    Schmeichel
    Ralston Trusty Scales Schlupp
    McGregor
    Kuhn McCowan Bernardo Jota
    Maeda

I know Rodgers won’t ever do this, but I’d be playing nobody (except Jota to build fitness) who will be playing against Bayern

    Sinisalo
    Ralston Nawrocki Murray Scales
    Schlupp
    McCowan Bernardo
    Jota Kenny Maeda

I would start with the team that will play BM, except for up top, go with Kuhn Kenny and Maeda.

    Kasper

    AJ
    CCV
    Scales
    Schlupp

    Calmac
    Bernardo
    McCowan

    Maeda
    Kenny
    Jota

Kuhn, Idah, Hatate, Engels & Taylor off the bench. Jota, Calmac, Schlupp, Kenny and Bernardo subbed.

Would love to give youth a shot but who is there? Cummings has no future here and tbh we could do with keeping the momentum going. So hopefully all who will be playing v Bayern atleast get half an hour/20mins.

I would play a mixed team of regulars and those needing a chance or minutes.

I think Jota could do with another run out even start and play the first half or another hour. He isn’t fit yet but the class is there for all to see.

Maeda is suspended so it’s whether you play him as Striker or on the wing. I would actually be tempted to start him through the middle. Idah wouldn’t play for me and keep him for Bayern unless he is really needed.

Yang or Kenny would complete my forward line. I would be tempted to play Yang from the start but aim to give Kenny the full second half.

In midfield I would play Bernardo deepest, McCowan and Engels (if winning get him off after an hour at most). McGregor would only be used if absolutely necessary, likewise with Hatate.

In defence I would go with Ralston, Schlupp needs minutes and a centre back pairing of Nawrocki and Scales. I would keep Schmeichel in goals.

You could then give CCV, Trusty, Johnston, Taylor, McGregor, Hatate, Kuhn and Idah a break and have a decent selection of them on the bench incase they are needed.

I know a changed team struggled at Falkirk but they were flying when we played them and we were awful with guys making full debuts and off the back of a European game. I think there is a number of those named with a point to prove and would be right up for it. We would still have a lot of quality from the likes of Maeda, Jota, Engles, Bernardo and McCowan, with one wildcard in Yang or Kenny playing from middle to front.

Ralston and Scales know the Scottish game well, Schlupp is an experienced campaigner and once he got the pace of the game last night look a solid enough player. Nawrocki needs to earn his wage at some point and in a game where we will be front foot, his main positive attribute for me is he is good at passing it out from the back.
