Ok, I do not see loovens recovering in time for this one. Is it worth trying one of the new signings for this one, even if they are not 100% yet?

I'm surprised we haven't seen big Jos yet. Not sure this is the best of games to throw him into either but you never know. I'd expect our back 4 to be; Caddis O'Dea Thompson Hinkel.

    Please no Naylor :40:

This will be the biggest test for Thompson so far. It's as much a gamble playing him as it is playing Jos. I would start Jos and see how he is at half time. If he can do a job for even an hour and we get the lead, it would be worth it.

Ye man, I've just posted a thread up about Hooiveld making his debut on Wednesday, because it says on Celtic.net he could make his debut, I think with our defensive problems we need him. I think Loovens should be ok aswel, he had 6 stitches & concussion, but will probably just play with a bandage on his head, he's a tough cookie, & both will help each other threw the game. Nothing against Josh Thompson but we need experience. Think Paddy should be giving a shot aswel, he was superb! So I would go:

    1.Boruc

    2.Hinkel 22.Loovens 16.Hooiveld 48.O'Dea(c)

    46.McGeady 27.Zheng 17.Crosas 20.McCourt

    10.Fortune 9.Samaras

Any other player or players that come back from injury early or get signed before Wednesday, I think will probably only make the bench, but that line up there is good & strong & should get the win against Hibs, if we play the way we did against St Johnstone in the 2nd half, then we shouldn't have any problems :50:

if we play the way we did in the second half against st johnstone we should get the win we need.

the only concern i have is with Thompson, as we know, Riordan will not let up on the lad, and he will need to be out quick on to him, if not Riordan will be in on goal
the lad looks a bit stiff if you ask me,

If Loovens was concussed is there not a rule in place where he cant play for so many days ? this might force TM to at least put 1 of the new defenders in the Squad

I'll be at this one. Usually a right good game against Hibs.

There's a rule in fOOtball that you HAVE to be out for a certain amount of time if you suffer a concusion. This doesn't matter how gOOd you feel a day or two later. I think it's a week if not more.

I thought Josh Thomson was excellent against St Johnstone. First few challenges in the air he lost but after that he won everything. I know Hibs are better than St Johnstone but he handled the saints better than O'Dea.

I'd go for Thomson and Jos

I think celtic should try an attacking 4-3-3 formation v hibs, with the emphases on playing football.

Granted, theres a few controversial selections in there, but if that line up was given time to gel, i think it would work.

    Thoughts?

I'm looking forward to it. Both teams are capable of some nice passing etc.

Clatter Riordan early and he won't touch the ball for the rest of the game so Thompson's pace wouldn't really be an issue.

Some very good performances from fringe layers yesterday, especially McCourt, Thomson, Caddis & I think O'Dea improved a bit too.

I'd like to see them rewarded for that performance & Caddis should go in ahead of O'Dea at LB, not sure if Hooijvelt will make it - if he does it should be at the expense of O'Dea nor Thomson.

    Boruc

    Hinkel Thomson Hooijvelt Caddis

    McGeady Crosas Zheng McGinn

    Fortune Samaras

As much as I'd love to see Paddy, we need a bit of cover as Hibs are flying - Paddy will hopefully get 1/2 an hour at least.

Tough game, but the players should have some confidence up now & be raring to claw back points on "them".

Will be a very tough game, we must attack from the start (hence the line up), once we get a lead we can maybe go a little more defensive.

    2-1 to the bhoys:50:

really looking forward to going to the match games againt Hibs are always crackers; it is more or less the two best footballing sides in the country going head to head!

think itll be a heart attack inducing 3-2 to the bhoys!
