Celtic v Chelsea

I know alot of people think Chelsea will hammer us.

If we play 10 ten behind the ball, even a team like Chelsea would find it hard to break us down.

If we get an early goal against them, aslong as we don't give away possession. I think we could go on to win this one.

 

I don’t think we should ever play 10 men behind the ball unless it’s the last 10 minuets of a crucial game we are winning. Even them I think the best form of defence is attack.

We should play out strongest team, the players we are likely to use in the CL. If Chelsea play their strongest team against ours it should give a slight insight into how we can do in the CL.

 

If we field our strongest team, and WGS gets it right on the day.

I think we could walk away winners.

We've played more games, than them this season. Thats an advantage.

we wont play a first team squad against chelsea i dont think .. if we play all fringe players again .. we will get skelped simple.. but its another friendly only ..dont worry about the result.. as long as we keep doing it when its for real.

 

I think we'll get completely humped, played right of the park.

 

Since its a friendly anything can happen against Chelsea, however I still think Chelsea will win.
Now if it was a competitive game it would be no contest, a walkover for Chelsea, thanks to the people running Celtic.

 

I really hope that doesn't happen, hopefully WGS gets it right on the day.

 

id rather win convincingly against hearts tommorow .. and get pumped off chelsea fair enugh .. its points that matter i dont care about friendlies .. its all about the benjamins in those games anyway and what we field against them is meaningless $$$$

 

This game could be a tricky game for Celtic,There is two ways to look mat this,One go there with the desire to win or do REALLY well or just use it as a trainning game or to GS a fitness game but If Mourinho fields his best 11 with players like Lampard,Drogba and New Signings Ballack and Shevchenko we could get fecked but hopefully we will raise our game against Chelsea coz it wouldn't be fair to all those supporters who are going down there but i think Strachan should play 5 across the middle against Chelsea, I feel thats the only way we could cope with a star studded side like them

 

We're into the season proper and we're still playing friendlies. Who cares who wins, the game should'nt be played, it's going to be hard enough to keep our title without these games, what a money grabbing shower the powers that be at Celtic are.

forget the pre-season... these games are all about filling lesser clubs grounds with the best fans in the world whilst we blood a few youngsters.. Celtic will do their talking on the pitch.. As Usual

 

is part of this pre season problem not that these games were arranged with the tacit understanding that the season wouldn't have started till after?

in any case, i agree with some on here that we should field our strongest 11 as a test for what we need in the champs league before the window closes..

i know it's only a friendly, but getting shagged constantly by the only opposition that we have a chance to measure ourselves against outside scotland can't be a good trade off for finding out our cheap buys are no good..

even as a matter of morale/prestige (rem the old liverpool -celtic "battle of britain") it's worth puttin out the 14-16 players that can currently cut the mustard at this club..

if we play anything less than that, be prepared for a shock.. i'm talking 6 or 7-1, and i ain't kiddin, nor do i enjoy sayin it..
