Sorry if this is the wrong section but I need help, when I buy my ticket off a friend I need to know where Celtic Park is from Georges Squre and the cheapest way to get there.

Also I wanted to take a tour of the ground would I be able to on the day?

I'm not from Glasgow so this might not be correct but...

If you jump on the lower level trains at Queens street or Glasgow central, get the train to Dalmarnock and it'll be a 5 min walk from there.

Tours are on every day, not sure about midweek match days though.

Quicker to get off at Bridgeton station, but I doubt you'll be able to get a tour on the day. The front of the stadium is taken over by UEFA on matchdays.

Bridgeston or Dalmarnock both relatively the same difference away from CP.

Go to Queen Street train station (which is 1 minute walk from George square), take train from lower platform to Belgrove station or better still Duke Street train station, this will take about 15 minutes journey. walk to stadium with celtic fans (20 minute walk from Belgrove and about 10 minnute walk from Duke street). Most fans seem to get off at Belgrove but Duke street is closer to the ground it is the very next stop after Belgrove. follow the fans and you will arrive at the ground. If you have any problems finding your way just ask any hoops fans you see and they will help.

    All the best

u can get the no.62 from union street to just outside the forge retail park, CP is just round the corner.

get the queenstreet underground to bellgrove, bit of an awkward walk from there but its only 5-10mins.

get the central underground to dalmarnock or bridgeton. only about 5 mins walk from both.

a think u can book tours on the official website aswell.

mate i live in eastend of glasgow and fukin don't go anywhere near bidgeton or dalmarnock especially with team colors on, unless you want a right good kicking that is, do as 1 of the above guy's say, jump the train at queen street and get the one that goes to duke street, once you get off the train you have a 5 minutes walk down a hill ,next to the parkhead retail park, and your bang on Celtic Park

    cheerz

Why would people direct a fellow fan to the most protestant dominated area in Glasgow is beyond me??

Only thought that the Rangers fans would start trouble to be honest after their little trip to Catalunya, isn't Celtic Park not right in the East End because once I was in Glasgow for the last game up there the Rangers fans told me not to go there?

What happened to that boy was terrible, but I've used Bridgeton station many times since then on matchdays and never had a problem.

Ye mate the East end is mostly Celtic fans but Bridgeton and Dalmarnock are big Rangers areas in the east end where sometimes Celtic fans don't walk through...
It's the type of place where there's Union Jacks hanging from windows and stuff....

So basicly a very intiminating area, I'll just follow the Barca fans. I never had any bother around Ibrox and we used the metros

Went to Ibrox via the Metro and had no problems but those places do sound intiminating and due to the bad reception in the city Rangers might give us I'll just follow the Barca fans or Celtic fans

Rangers fans will give you no problem, the reason: there will be none around, they will be locked up in their house on the day of the game.
Do as i say, take train to duke street, you could also get the 62 bus as someone said but the traffic is really bad and will be take you a long time to get to the ground. Or why not go to the Gallowgate area of the city where there are lots of celtic pubs, have a few drinks among the fans and then walk to the ground from there. it will take about 20 - 25mins walk.

whatever you do, enjoy your trip
