take it the cars that were left outside the baracks were possibly car bombs or something or just hoaxs to scare them.

    28,000 homes left without power

There has been an explosion at an electricity substation in Belfast. It is believed a fault was the cause.

The explosion happened shortly after 1600 GMT at the Northern Ireland Electricity substation on Manse Road next to Lagan College in the city.

It is not believed that anyone was injured. NIE engineers are on site.

Twenty-eight thousand homes in the greater Belfast area were without electricity for at time. Power supply has been reconnected from other areas.

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service received an emergency call at 1615 GMT.

Three appliances attended what they described as a "small fire on the ground floor" of the substation.

Last night a number of walls were painted in support of Collie Duffy in and around Ardoyne and the Bone....

I'd imagine this today is to do with his detention etc

Heard about it. Huge action taking place in Belfast at the moment. Hijacked and burning cars, vans and buses and multiple bomb alerts.

Gas Vans hijacked and parked outside RUC stations.
Today's violence came about after graffiti appeared in Belfast calling for a day of anger over the arrest of Colin Duffy.

i wouldnt say that.need to go back about 15 years ago for that.they lack the support in the community the provisionals had.
they need something major to swing in their favour for that to happen!!
