Calum Murray will referee Sunday's Old Firm derby at Ibrox.
Rangers, who have won three consecutive Scottish Premier League titles, go into the game trailing leaders Celtic by 21 points.
In Murray's last Old Firm derby he sent off three Rangers players in an ill-tempered Scottish Cup clash.
Celtic won the game in March last year, courtesy of Mark Wilson's goal. Madjid Bougherra, Steven Whittaker and El-Hadji Diouf were sent off.
A victory for Celtic at Ibrox would clinch the title for Neil Lennon's side if Motherwell fail to win at Kilmarnock on Saturday.
Both Old Firm clubs go into Sunday's derby on the back of defeats.
Celtic's hopes of securing a domestic treble were dashed in the 1-0 Scottish Communities League Cup final defeat by Kilmarnock.
And Rangers stumbled to a 2-1 defeat by Dundee United at Tannadice.
The loss for Ally McCoist's men enabled Motherwell to climb level on 54 points in second place.
Rangers won the first Old Firm derby of the season with a 4-2 win at Ibrox, with Joe Ledley heading the only goal of the game in Celtic's derby win in December.

He handled the occasion well last year in the Scottish Cup replay, despite the fact that he was getting manhandled by the hun thugs.

Would much rather him than most others.

Calum Murray for me is one of the best refs in the spl, not just cos he dished out 3 reds to the hun thugs in my first old firm!! But he calls everything right down the middle, looks to let the game flow and gets most of the big decisions right.

He's the best we could have hoped for, in a country full of * awful match officials. I don't recall him getting any big decisions against us wrong in the past, so let's hope he continues in the same vein this weekend :50:

However, I suspect the SFA will ensure Motherwell beat Killie on Saturday to avert this possibility anyway.

Callum Murray, fair to say isn't the worst of refs I have seen, he is fair on the field and doesn't act like an absolute c*nt! The refs I really dislike are Wullie Collum and Steve McLean (he refereed the 1-0 win over ICT when he wrongly sent off big dan) they are both unfair f**ks and shouldn't be aloud to referee matches in the SPL...never mind old firm games! Anyway Hail Hail! :) x
