Alright everybody what a good day today a must say, listening to the radio in work, it sounded as if st mirren should have beat us to be honest, the way the radio pundits were going on foster made a couple of world class saves......... At the time a was thinking were the * is the defence???

Neil lennon made a mistake today imo by playing samaras up front were he is INEFECTIVE..... When i looked at my pc at the lineups i was raging to see stokes benched. please dont try that again neil :50:

Anyway i have been reading through numerous posts on the forum and i want to point out that 4 points is * all, the minute we think were cruising and we start dropping points, so we cant get to cocky because nothing is won yet. We have too keep winning games and we have a lot of tough games coming up, But a hope the hunns keep dropping points I also pointed out earlier in the week that the defence is still weak, well the central area....... i personally cant wait to maj is back, he played his best 6 or 7 games in a row for us before he got injured.

I have seen trebble talk as well, which is very premature, and i hope the players have been banned from talking trebbles, the minute a team starts mentioning trebbles it goes up in smoke. looking at the hunns fixture list as well there, mostly all home games for the next few week.

People are talking as if the leagues over but its far from over especially with 2 old firm games left, but we are in a great position considering how far behind we were, and am delighted with the management and the team for there great effort, i just hope it continues and we lift the title, thats the priority imo....

Agreed we were lucky today, but we would have lost that game last year. We need to keep this run going, all that matters in the league is too keep our noses in front till the end of the season.
The cup game are always a different issue, so I hope that the players have learned not to take anything for granted. I would like to look back on successful season at the end of May.

I have to much confidence in the team this year, even when we were 15 point sbehind i just knew they had it in them to come back. Theres no * chance we are going to lose the league this year "NO * CHANCE'. Ill stick my kneck out here and say that were going to win it by 15 points, lol. Once they lose jelavic they are *. Theyre drawing and getting beat at ibrox ffs and droping points on their travels and i can see it continuing.

Have a look at our team again and the way were playing and honestly tell me who you thinks going to win teh league

And a hope the hunns keep dropping points :icon_mrgreen:

Still a long way to go but we are looking good, winning when we are average/poor is something we are managing to do this season, to me that bodes well for the remainder of the season.

    Nothing won yet this season?
12 wins in a row - what a result! - that is won.
Going from 15 points behind to 4 in front - epic and legendary - that is won.
Having the satisfaction that our owners, board, manager and supporters don't disgarce or embarrass the club like it is at ipox (well they led their club to possibility of going bust, while we run the club safe way and thinking for the long term) - that is won.
    (...)
and I believe there is lots more to come!

I know that we have not won the title yet and there is a long road to go and both Celtic and them will drop points, but can we just enjoy the happy day that we have today:icon_mrgreen:?

PS I agree with OP about Samaras, however I trust Lenny a lot!

Glad to see this type of thread, people need to remember this is just form and bad patches that will swing between both teams. Even if we do win the league this year, i think rangers will go above us at least once from now until may.

Both teams will lose points for sure but I believe there is a better chance that we will not give the lead away until the end of season then that they will take the lead anytime again.

I dont disagree it has been * amazing....... nearly got kicked out the house for going mental at st mirren,s goals v rangers, bbut the whole point of my thread was just to get the message out that we havnt won anything yet.... not to get 2 complecent, as soon as we start doing that.... the press start saying * and it goes to the players heads!!

A do not want that 2 happen this season, i am delighted with the progress and i really hope we win at least 13 of the 14 games left in the league, me pesonally i dont give a * about trebbles or cups just now, my main focus is on the league title, if the 3 trophys come i will * in my pants as will everyone else but for now title is number 1 :50:

You are right we have won nothing yet and we have to take each game as they come. The problem today is Neilly picked the wrong team with the wrong formation, I wonder why he felt it necessary to change a winning team that had won eleven games in a row, and bring Ki and Cha back, and drop Stokes, especially on a windswept St Mirren ground.I can't get my head around that and we almost came unstuck because of it. I have always said Lenny is a lucky manager, and we were lucky today no doubt, so no more of this tinkering again Neilly please :50:

Great post my man and i feel the same way, the manager seems to chop and change like * and it doesnt suit us 1 bit, there are players played out of there natural possiosions far 2 much for me......... it should be costing us but its not, we have been very lucky, but i am behind the manager but he needs to learn that

james forrest is a right winger not a left or behind the strikers

Joe ledley is not a left back in a million years

Samaras is not a striker, why play him up front when he cant finish???

Stokes and hooper are the best strikers at the club at the minute

My thoughts on the manager are that he is doing a great job but is making some mistakes, ie tactics and formations could be better...... but a must say is he has put together a squad worth millions, some of his signings should NOT be sold on the cheap,, the first time we have looked this healthy in years imo.

the manager has made it hard on him self as the squad is far 2 big..... trim it neil and we will be even better than we are now.

Imo we need a quality centre half and a decent target man......... we will need another striker just in case hoopsd or stokes gets injured that will win us the league so please * spend a few mill celtic :50:

This season will last very, very long in the memory if we manage to win it out. Nothing is won yet as you say but Rangers are on a continuous down slope while we are on the rise on the back of 12 league wins in a row. If we can keep our winning ways up for another few weeks Rangers will drop more points and we may stretch out of sight.

Games like the one we played today are the type that WILL win us the league. Its these scrappy hard-fought wins that we were desperately needing to win the league last year. Glasgow Celtic Champions!!!!!!

We have far better players and resources so we should win. However, I am mindful of last season where we edged ahead and looked unbeatable only to fade a little at a bad time.

Tell ye what if it was the huns who played the saints yesterday they would have got shagged (imo) the fact we waked away with such a flattering result indicates to me we have it this year.. that mentality.

I don't know if anyone seen the stats but we should never have won that game and that's not an exaggeration, it's a fact.

Like i said though, the fact we have been winning such games leads me to think the season is indeed over. Take into account the enormous psychological blow the huns must have suffered going +15 to minus 2 (pre-St mirren) and it's a safe bet to assume we have the edge... be * if i want any of our players thinking this though. :56:
