I thought at right back he could cut it as he can't cause as much damage. I stand corrected. Absolute liability.
Its time these so called fans who back everyone WGS tells them is a player, against all available evidence, either wake up or F@*K UP.
I'm sick of guys like Caldwell, Wilson and JVOH.
    They are dross.
Before you start Keltoi, you'll be criticising young O'Dae after 1 game in an alien position, yet JVOH should get a run of how many 20 games before we criticise him?

    1. There is no such thing as celtic class. More like celtic budget.
    2. Caldwell has not cost us any more goals by errors than any of our other defenders this season. In fact I am certain that McManus and JFK have cost us more by bad errors (e.g JFK on Wednesday and Mick's dodgy pass v Spartak -I think, and many more away goals we have flogged). If you call for his head call for them all.
    3. That error was a common one. He did not realise how high the ball had bounced and thought it was a certain goal.
    4. The guy is playing out of position.
    5. Several other people think and most importantly of all WGS thinks he has been playing very well at RB given he is out of position.
    6. Gary's recent crossing from advanced positions is probably the best we have had form a RB in a very long time. I dont see him as a long term RB but he is doing well enough there.
    7. If you think Gary is crap and you think WGS is crap you should get yourself a Xmas stamp, turn it upside down, get a big thick black marker and write everything you know about football ont he stamp. You wont run out of room.

Read my player ratings again. They were both *. O'Dea is never a LB. He is always poor there, even in the reserves. O'Dea may some day be a decent CB but our immediate problem is LB.

Aye, but you do think he should get more games Keltoi (JVOH), rather than punt him?

i thank you for your opinion, but don't try to foist it on to others. i'm entitled to my opinion the same as everyone else. if you can't have a serious debate without trying to make it personal then i think you may have a problem. have you tried anger management classes? i know you're wanting someone to ask this, with your references to ppl never having played football? What level did you play at?

Has WGS ever came out and said any player is great. He might say they had a good game. Keltoi has a point the defence should be a unit and defend together. They should all take the blame. Who didn't close the shot down that Boruc saved? Who gave the goal away in midfield to set them up. They all played a part.

Terrible player, * bag (in that he lobs balls aimlessly down the flank or up the field losing us possesion cos he has no sense to look up), and hes reckless in his tackles etc, comes barging in clumsily.

A complete liability, can't enjoy a game while hes playing.

I have no problem with him. I think he's a good player and deserves to be in the team. He makes mistakes, like every other player. But for some reason his mistakes are always put under the microscope. Though he is reckless AT TIMES... so are Scott Brown (in terms of tackles) and Naka (in terms of lobbing the ball) but that never seems to be an issue.
I like him but, that's just my opinion.

I think that its very hard to blood a CB at Celtic because they will make loads of errors and people expect us to win the league every year. Some positions like CB and CM are almost impossible to go straight into the Celtic 1st team from because they are experience positions. Assuming we get an experienced CB in in January (surely to *), I think we should loan him out in January at a decent level and see how he does. Cuthbert too. They are both good CB prospects but they wont get a chance with Mick, Gary, Elvis and JFK in front of them and Rangers breathing down out necks. They will really have to shine on loan to have a chance but its worth a go.

So what, should we lambaste him for 1 mistake. Caldwell takes error making to new levels, even at RB he costs us points.

You said their errors don't cost us important goals, and you were proven wrong. All players make mistakes and being a defender his mistakes will be magnified as they will lead to chances and goals for the opposition. You obviously don't rate him as a player which is your right, but don't expect others to blindly agree.
