Great to see a guy who wanted to leave the club so badly he cited mental health issues coming back to play at Celtic Park..

when jorge scored his first for celtic the north stand nearly collapsed with the commotion. i seem to recall that radio clyde lost their feed for a few moments as the noise blew a fuse....ah the memories. how that side never won the league defied physics, biology or algebra or some other math i cant do.

Yeah seemed like a lifetime before he finally got registered, but it was worth it. Didnt think i would see another striker as good at finishing as him but then the King arrived:icon_mrgreen:!

he had problems with Fergus McCann and wanted to leave, he gave the reason as homesick but we all knew he had lost respect for Fergus regarding money matters. he was one of the Three Amigos dubbed by Fergus Pierre van Hooijdonk and Paulo Di Canio where the other two, they also had a gripe with Fergus regarding money.

I remember his first goal as if it was yesterday. He came on against Aberdeen when we where 4-0 up and Peter grant played him through and he didn't disappoints us. I just knew then we had a player that could score a goal or 2. it was one of those moment that time stood still for a few seconds as I looked around at my mates before celebrating like mad.

Wondering about my hole getting mustarded

Man, I was thinking along those lines too.

Truth be told he was a great striker. But also a bit of a mercenary type. His sunsequent history shows him up to be more mercenary than most, wherever he went. He also did have a reputation for being missing a couple bricks from his hod. In the end I seem to remember him begging lower division Portuguese clubs for a game. Stuff I read.

Don't get me wrong - great player. Just no legend for me. Will be good to see him help the occasion by adding a big and well-remembered name I suppose.

Mmmmm, get off the fence Sheabhoy and say what you're really feeling man, don't hold back. Bottling it all up only leads to grey hairs and plukes.:56:
