Would be the professional and correct way to conduct himself. Finish the job here . He has left us high and dry , * knows what the fall out could be within the squad. Leaving at the drop of the hat the same week as trips to Tynecastle and Easter Road? Drop me out.

Better than him leaving like this, see the season out then there will be some goodwill at least and he can lament the board.

Absolutely classless to just bail right now, nicely poised for a third treble and 8 points clear at the top. I get he may feel he can't take us any further but at least see out the season.

Will be funny if he relegates Leicester.

Here's an interesting thought - if Lawwell REALLY is such a big bad * that can't keep a hold of a decent manager because he is so hated or whatever, then why hasn't Desmond got rid of him the way he would a manager?

That's because I don't think Pistol Pedro is always the bad guy he's painted out to be...

Lets not forget the 6 players leaving in the summer......that will really * us for next season....that is not the sign of a manager who planned to stay even before his new best job in the world club came calling.....hope he is on the dole by summer.

I’d actually say the opposite. I’ve been hating how we play right now. Horsed in Europe and sideways passing against Hamilton? Did you not watch us last season? Aye I’ll miss that all that. People need to realise that had the Vermin got their act together sooner, wed be playing catch up to them, such has been our regression under Rodgers the last year.

Have to disagree, Lennon's first two seasons were some of the best I've seen entertainment wise. To be fair after Rangers went bust our style dropped a wee bit but the Wanyama, Hooper, Forster years were great imo.

The compensation money was the deciding factor. Lawwell knew BR was off in the summer. He's not going to turn down £6M and was probably told by Leicester they want BR now for £6M or nothing if he stays with us until the end of the season. BR legacy has been tarnished. Why leave his "dream job" for a * second rate EPL club like Leicester?

Oh please, Lawwell is still here as our CEO for the simple reason he keeps the profits rolling in, he's good for the bank balance. Not good for the football though.

DD would be insane to lose such a cash cow in Lawwell.

For those who are in love.....
We were putty in his hand's and quite rightly could do or say no wrong..

Then as you say he started sounding more and more like a broken record. Was contradicting his self constantly in and out of transfer window's and progressively got worse as time went on..

He then came in to this season and was letdown with a combination of people at fault, including his self...and looked like he had just given up and was bitter..

I didn't want him to go. Certainly never like how this is panning out at this stage but I wouldn't of been sick if it was in the coming summer..

No one is bigger than the club. Especially no this wee fake * talking clown. We need to suck it up and go again..

Hopefully if Lenny or whoever comes in, we won't be roughed up at places like Tynecastle tomorrow. I've been dying to see a spine back in a Celtic side for too long in that respect..

They would still have to pay out the remainder of his contract if he left in the summer which would be around £4m for the 2 years left
