The fact he seems to be blaming everyone but himself is infuriating.

Mentioning Liverpool strengthening in comparison to us, Liverpool went out and signed 3 players who will walk into their team. Rodgers targeted McGinn who would be about our 5/6th best midfielder.

Seriously starting to * me off.

BR: “It’s hard to get your head around but we have to go away and work with the players we have and try and improve and make them better.”

This is becoming really irritating now. A while ago, when asked at a presser about the defence, he said that it was fine.
Does he really believe that? Why is he saying that we have to work with the players we have? I think Boyota will go and (while we won't get 9m - we should get at least 5). Assuming the board are willing to match that - is he saying that we can't pick up a RB and a CH for a combined cost of 9/10 m?

I think going forward, we are by far the best SPL team - but our defence is a *** joke. Anyone could score against us.

We need an experienced centre half who know when to clear the *** ball and a right back. There is no way we can't get a considerable improvement on what we have for 9/10m - obviously not world class but a lot better than Lustig/Simunovic/Hendry.

Either BR doesn't see the need to improve these areas or the board won't pay the money. If the latter is true then BR should walk - as much as I'd hate to see it.

If he really thinks the defence is "Fine" - we will continue to go backwards.

Yup hard to disagree with any of that. Going forward we are at time phenomenal especially at the start of the season when Ed and Mouss were starting up front. We saw it tonight we created decent chances especially that Griff chance in the first half.

But as you say that defence.......* stinking. I would actually take the hit on RB if it were to guarantee us a decent CB to partner Ajer.

I think it's now highly likely Brendan will leave within the next 12 months.

If Rodgers thinks with the players he has in defence we will win the league this season then he should just * go now.

I can’t believe he has come out and said that! Utter * mince. We do not have a good enough defence and keeper to win this league this season in my opinion.

Our tactics and build up play is * shocking, we haven’t replaced Roberts or Armstrong and yet we will work with the players we have got?

    Shambles * shambles.

Our current team is easily good enough to win the league. The problem with hyperbole like this is you fail to see the bigger picture and that no-one else is capable of getting the points to overhaul us. There has only been 2 games in the SPL and only Hearts have won both and I can't really see their style of play been good enough to get 80 or so points.

With what he has he has taken us as far as he can, we are actually regressing and whether it's his fault or the boards or both he did say once he has taken us as far as he can it's game over.....so unless we can miraculously replace the dross we have in defence we are worse than at any other stage in brendans time here and that's assuming we do not sell which is a massive If.

Time will tell but brendan won't be here for too much longer I feel.

We are now 1/4 to win the league from being 1/12. If people think we don't have a challenge this year then they are in cuckoo land. Remember we won the league last year with one of the smaller total of points. We are NOT improving as a team. We have regressed. Other teams will be stronger. A couple of injuries to key players and we look an ordinary team. Hearts on Saturday proved that with a team of journey men too good for us. Their big centre forward has been signed from the mighty Cambridge Utd. That tells you, were we are at currently

Is it though? Our defence is a shambles utter * * apart from one player and our keeper is pish as well.

All we seem to do is pass it along the back the tactics are * * and we don’t seem to be playing the football we had a few seasons ago.

Our team is weaker and it’s clear to see. I think you are not seeing the bigger picture when the Zombies have clearly got better.

I’m sure when they went on the run of 9 in a row they had an arrogance about them thinking we would never win the league again.

The ball has been dropped and if we don’t sort it for the next three weeks not only have we lost 40 million this season if we don’t * win the league then it’s another 40 million next season.

We could lose some of our best players in the next three weeks also and Rodgers could walk.

I've stated on here numerous times - if he had have been offered the Arsenal job he was off before then.

When a chairman panics down south and gets rid of a manager in the next 3 or 4 months he will be offered a job down south and he will walk.

If we loose the league brendan won't need to walk. He'll be sacked and quit rightly so.

They didn't sack Deila after he lost to Sevco, so I can't see them sacking Rodgers.

Lawwell doesn't want the manager to reveal all, so will let them walk rather than be sacked.

Not saying he should be immune from criticism but I think a lot of the comments on here are harsh.
He’s done an excellent job over the past 2 seasons and deserved some financial backing from the board this summer. It’s shocking that we have absolutely no new faces.
What manager are we going to attract that would do better than Brendan?

The comments about the defence being "fine" are very worrying as anyone can see it is and has been a shambles, I hope he is just saying that. I have to wonder though if he had other defensive targets he should have been battering down doors at Parkhead to get deals done in time for these qualifiers.

That's the way I see things going too. Last season I would've said I was extremely confident he wouldn't entertain an approach from a mid to lower table Premiership team. After this summer's shambles I think we've sickened him enough that he thinks the only way is down with us. For a guy that's won every single domestic trophy since he came to us it's infuriating the way we've treated him.

Brendan saying we need to strengthen, it seems clear to me and im sure most people gamboa is a better choice than lustig at right back, Brendan signed * gamboa and won't play him, spunked 3m on kouassi and won't play him, has made 2 of the worst centre back signings for us in my memory, signed de vries a keeper not even close to being in Gordon's league whatever people's opinions on Craig are that statement is still true and wanted him to replace Gordon fs. Let our only back up left back leave then hindered the progress of Calvin Miller by sticking him in there were he clearly isn't suited. Only to then resign the previous back up.

So who should we bring in to do a better job than Brendan?
