    Well fholks, that's it, it's all over. The votes have been tallied and we have a winner, so it's time to announce, that the winner of the inaugural, and probably last ever, Battle of the Bands: Celtic Connections :scotland::ireland: is.....

    MASSIVE congratulations to @Scotia, who might I add, was a fantastic competitor who gave me a very welcome breakdown of his thoughts throughout the comp via PM.

    Commiserations to @Lewis1967 who finished runner-up with the fantastic Tide Lines.

    Of course, none of this is at all possible without the participation of everyone involved. I really enjoyed hosting this and it was pleasing to hear many of you comment on your enjoyment in your pm's of hearing new sounds and artists, whilst also having a trip down memory lane with others.

    I more than understand some jury members circumstances and lack of votes where time did not allow. There are more important things right now to have a moan about so thanks to EVERYONE who took part over the course of the competition.

    And with that, I bid you all farewell, and will leave you with a lovely little number from our winners.

    Connla was a frickin struggle, I think @Marty McFly was being creative with the rules so I would have a chance and not run out of material or I would have had to forfeit well before I got knocked out :giggle1:
