When will this guy start getting some deserved critcism ffs?

He's been awful for the best part of 2 years now.

If he wasn't the 'Holy Goalie' he would have been dropped long ago.

 

He ihas not been playing well for a while. His confidence is gone for club and country.

 

He hasn't been playing great but hes still the best keeper in Scotland he is playing behind a * shocking defence... and he pulled off a great save from a josh Thompson header unfortunately we conceded form the resulting corner...
Bottom line if we had big powerful defenders who attack balls so that Boruc could stick to shot stopping like the rapist across the road we wouldn't be having this conversation!

 

Yeah, I agree mate and it's not a reaction to tonight's game only. Boruc has been below par for too long now. His physical conditioning is a disgrace and should not be tolerated, especially when it is accompanied by a lack of form on the pitch. I am not prone to daft, over-reactions and appreciate the significance of changing your number one but I would consider starting Zaluska fom now on. When called upon he has suggested he is an excellent keeper and Boruc's form no longer merits inclusion. I'd go with Zaluska and move Boruc on in the summer if possible, ideally after a good world cup from him to raise his value (if he starts.) Use the money to re-invest/ pay off expenditure from the last two windows.

Hate to say it but McGregor, Stack and even Cerny from Hamilton have been better than him this year.


I'v had enough of him, if he had signed in 2007 (Forgetting his 1st 2 seasons) he'd be out the door by now and branded a dud and regarded in the same light as Magnus Hedman.

He's fat and he's never 100% focused. He's surviving on past form which is never coming back and the fact 'he hates the huns'.

He should be 100% focused and commited to being at his very best when playing for a club like Celtic and clearly isn't.

 

Totally agree, never the keeper he was 2 years ago. his position for free kicks and corners are well suspect.

Trys to be smart against St Johnstone and what do the fans do sing his name. if it was anyone else they would be getting it, but not Arthur.

Boruc? Poland isn't in the World Cup

 

It wasn't a great save, you'd expect your keeper to be saving those.

 

His saves to shots on target ratio is literally one of the worst in the league.


The save like from Thompson tonight he pulls off maybe one in every 10 games now. 3 years ago it was every game, impossible tips over the bar etc, that just doesn't happen anymore.


Instead he's now a VERY average keeper who's positional sense is abysmal, he's a nervous mess who knows himself a blunder is right round the corner.


Get Zaluska in ffs, don't rate him that much either, but he's better than Boruc.

 

I respectfully dissagree mate... You suond * off becuse of tonights game and you have good reason to... But Boruc has pulled of some fantastic saves this season remember the hibs game at easter road that save won us 3 points that day.. You cant always rely on you keeper to get you out of jail.... the defence needs to stop exposing him!

 

well with the way he's currently getting buried, you'd think he'd let it in. fact is, he was never as good as he was given credit for and he isn't as bad as he's being accused of being currently. he's a great keeper that is coming off as acting entitled right now and rightly so. will sitting him help this club get on a winning streak? i'd have to say no

 

I'v said this last season mate (Post history will confirm that), but tonight merely reiterated it.

His great saves this season have been seldom mate, very seldom indeed.


He's been culpable for far more mistakes than excellent saves this season, that's for sure.


I hate to slate such a fans favourite as he used to be one of my favourite players, but Celtic comes first and the guy just isn't doing it anymore and I want rid.

Boruc has been wretched for over two years now and has cost us again and again. He seems to think he is bombproof with all this Holy Goalie status, but to my mind he is a liability now.

Zaluska should be our No.1 Goalkeeper now.

 

He's been a bombscare ever since his personal problems, which shouldn't interfere with his performance on the field, but he has let that happen. He doesn't even get a game for Poland anymore (After several blunders and more off-field shenanigans)

Hate to be sound so cynical, but the 'Holy Goalie' song shouldn't be sung anymore, he doesn't deserve to be praised for abysmal performances.


With the Boruc of 2006 we'd probably be top of the league right now.

 

We should have cashed in on him after the Euro's the guys a * clown only gets away with so much cause the fans love him , fact is right now he should not be anywhere near the team , look at the amount of weight he has put on since he signed and this has affected his form aswell ,

 

I can see where your * from mate and you obviously know your stuff... But this thread is gonna turn into an Artur Boruc bashing thread and in my opinion 80% of the squad and management deserve it more...
Its natural when your team loose to hammer your best players trust me i have slaughtered Scott McDonald in the past but hes probably still our best striker...
If we scored more than we concede again we wouldn't be having this conversation...
My point is if an outfield player makes a mistake it might not cost you but when its a keeper it dose ... Sammy McGeady McGinn O'dea Zehng Zhi Hinkel all had worse games than boruc tonight!

 

you're having a laugh! it's obvious you have a personal issue with him after making a post like this. you don't really believe that do you? did the boruc of 2006 convert on many scoring chances when he was in the opponents 18yd box? i don't remember that happening

 

I can't stand how these glory hunters can sit behind him and sing his name for making 1 good save and having to howlers, even hibs second goal i feel that he could have closed the ball a bit more instead of leaving his far side so open... * help us, and please stop following Celtic if you want to boo them.
