If you look closely, he scoops the ball up and loses it to Boyd. That then leaves Edu free to score the goal. If he had managed to catch the ball first time, we would have drawn the match.

Best view is 40 seconds in.

Do you work for the record or something? the ball was bobbling about all over. The guy did more than any other player for us on Sunday and you want to slag him off? No fan i know blames him for the goal, rightly so.

Ref was at fault for the goal.

If he sent off Bougherra like he should of done he wouldn't have made the shot that Boruc scooped up to Boyd. Therefore Edu would not have had a tap in.LOL

bit harsh to blame boruc imo he was othwerwise excellent

is it me or did Boyd not handle that ball when it came back off of Boruc? :97:

EDIT: looked at it again probably not. though bougherra shouldnt be on the park to shoot anyway so yeah refs fault ultimately

What does it matter to you where I work? It's irrelevant to the thread. Yeah Boruc played well on Sunday but he's still at fault for the goal. It's been fairly typical of him the past two seasons, big mistakes costing us games.

Harsh, the ball dipped very quickly infront of him even after he scooped it he did well to parry boyds effort.
Was a difficult one to take, you could blame many people in the build up to them getting the corner probably.

is this a wind-up. First of all if it wasn't for boruc we would have been gubbed. Time after time he bailed our defence out, particularly in the 2nd half, and made some world class saves. Even at the goal he made 2 great saves to stop boyd from putting it in the net. Some fans are clueless

I think Boruc's handling on Sunday was a bit off although he did save us a good number of times. If you look back at some of the cross balls he came for, he juggles them a few times before he cathces them :celt_2:

no he isn't at fault. Firstly no one picked up bougherra at the back post and thus allowed him to get a powerful shot away at the keeper. Boruc did what every keeper in that position would do and got his body behind it to prevent a goal. Goalkeepers shouldn't concede at their near post and he saved it well. It, unfortunately, bounced it to boyd who hit two close range shots which were both saved brilliantly by boruc and again luck went against him as it landed at edu, who wasn't picked up again by the defence

    not buying it.

i don't even need to see the goal again to know it wasn't borucs' fault that we lost that game. wether or not he was at fault for the goal is irrelevant. we needed a win and in the second half would have been lucky to get away with a draw.

boruc was immense, if it wasn't for him, we'd have been humped 4-0.

If he hadn't scooped the ball up Rangers wouldn't have scored.

if he hadn't scooped the ball the only difference would be that bougherra would have been rangers match winner and not edu

If the corner was defended properly the keeper wouldn't have any work to do. The only person who got in the way of the ball was boruc.

Yet again our defence was nowhere near it. Not Boruc's fault at all!

Not in my IMO, What about Hinkel, you could blame him first if he hadnt turned his back and opened his legs the ball would have gone through them and he could have booted the ball away

Why are we looking to blame someone for their single pish goal?

When we should really be blaming the fact that one of our players was sent off for next to nothing and at least one of theirs should have been sent off 4 times over?

Exactly my point boruc cant be blamed that he was the only person in the penalty box with the balls to put their body in the firing line to prevent a goal
