Don't think so mate. "Derby of the eternal enemies" (Olympiacos and Panathnaikos) is the biggest in greece.

    Madness indeed.
Years ago, during the 80's, Panathinaikos fans set fire a bus with Olympiakos fans and didn't let them go out.
Place reacted quickly, so happily, nobody was killed.

Yes, Pana and Olympiakos is the greatest derby in Greece.
AEK <3 was destroyed by the ex chairman who stole the money, so AEK <3 was awful last year in the Super league, and they ended penultimate and they should played in Football league 1, but they asked to play in football league 2 because of financial problems. AEK is now in Football league 2, they have new chairmen, the same people who were in charge during AEK's best days and they are going to build a new stadium which will be called "Hagia Sofia", so, AEK will be in the Super league in 2 years, and glorious days Athletic Union of Constantinople will be back, I hope.

Massive fall from grace for AEK Athens, not unlike Sevco tbh.

That's two Greek clubs (AEK and PAOK) that have Constantinople in their names, didn't know that previously

Are Pana overtly political one way or the other? I know that with the Golden Dawn mess Greece is on edge.

This is almost certainly the work of some Olympiacos fans.

No. Gate 13 are a mixed bag with everything from anarchists to Greek Nationalists. AEK are far more politically one sided with their Original 21 supporter club - they are left-wing.

Golden Dawn recently had problems with PAOK due to a PAOK player wearing a Kosovo Liberation Army T-shirt. GD seen this as pro-Albanian, anti-Greek blah blah blah and criticised him. Gate 4 beat up a few Golden Dawn and displayed lots of anti-GD banners.

AEK and POAK have a lot of anti-racist because their traditional fanbase is made up of Greeks expelled from Istanbul. They know the pain that racism brings. Or so an Omonia (Cyprus) supporting friend says.

Apolitical by and large. Gate 13 is huge but, and has various subgroups etc from different areas of Athens and outwith the city.

Know many though there that are involved in the Anarchist movement. Young lad shot by police, that sparked the riots in December 2008 was PAO.

Main rivals are definitely Olympiakos. Not saying AEK aren't rivals, but Olympiakos are main one.

Mad one, used to be a spate of this in Holland years back, mind Den Haag hools burned Ajax fan/club house...after Ajax done the same. Police blocked allot of the roads between Amsterdam,Rotterdam, Utrecht & Den Haag due to it at certain times of night.

Regarding AEK, yeah Original 21 are more open politically so to speak. But theres also a far right group at AEK, 'Ghetto Firm'.
