Yeah but is it true? The Record are full of * and will make anything up for a story. As Rangers are in a bit of turmoil, they'll try and find negative things to say about Celtic and their players to try and even it up. One thing i've learnt over the years is never ever believe a story written in the * heap of a paper! Did they not break the Murray £700m stadium to be built by Sept 2008 exclusive just as news of the Commonwealth games coming to the east end of glasgow was announced?

Murray controls those *, it's plainly obvious. Not that he'll gain anything out of that bobo story but it's still a story which tries to drum up discontent between certain players and management. We know the club wants rid of bobo and have done for some time. What we don't need is pishy made up stories from darryl bentfoot, Gerry Mcnee and the like trying to stir up ill feeling when there is none!

As far as i'm concerned, the record isn't even a newspaper. A newspaper is full of news and that is full of *. You'd be as well reading toilet paper!

Maybe silly from Bobo maybe not, let’s just say the story is accurate and he has turned down the wolves offer.

How long was his contract for 1 year or longer?

Is 27,500 a wage made up with appearances and bonuses?

Until the ins and outs of any deal offered to him is fully known I think it’s unfair to jump to conclusions. In fact how accurately can we take the Daily * at all they have a pro Rankers agenda and may well just be trying to * stir with a negative Celtic story. In the Rectums article it states that Bobo has been told he will no longer play for Celtic, when did that happen? My recollection is it was Gravesen who was told that not Balde. If you read this quote I´ve lifted from the Herald you see they have a different take. http://www.theherald.co.uk/sport/he...osing_in_on_3_5m_deal_for_German_defender.php
"Celtic may have to offer as much as £1.5m to remove Gravesen from the wage bill, but will offer no such incentive to Bobo Balde. The Guinean rejected a £25,000 per week package to join Birmingham City and Celtic are prepared to keep him as cover for the final year of his deal."

Both stories contradict each other. One says he has been told he will never play for Celtic again and the other says Celtic are prepared to keep him as cover. For me both articles should not be taken as factually correct. (note also that the Birmingham offer was a package not a fixed wage, if that´s correct then the Wolves offer may well have been structured in a similar way) As I said earlier the ins and outs of these deals are not known so for me it´s unfair to jump to conclusions.

IMO what is hard fact is with Kennedy and Cuthbert leaving on loan we have a shortage of CB´s. We will most probably bring in one new CB that leaves us short of 1 player if Bobo goes as well that would make us 2 Cb´s´light. For me I think it would be better if he stays as back-up just to make up the numbers if for nothing else.

Would we not be better advised to just give Wolves 250k (5 grand a week) to push any deal through and save ourselves a fortune in the long run?

And then hire someone to ensure Gravesen meets with an untimely demise, obviously.

I find it strange that Strachan is letting 2 CBs out on loan leaving us with only 4 one of which we're trying to punt. We all remember what happened last season with the full backs and the same could happen with the CBs this season. What if 2 got injured and one suspended? We'd have no cover

We desperately need a CB. Come on Gord, a new CB and LB please

We have the correct number of centre backs for a 4 trophy campaign. And if we are looking to bring in 1 more top class one if available then even better:

    RB.........Caldwell (Balde).......Mick (O'Dea)..........LB

The standard for top top sides is 4 competing centrebacks. Perhaps the plan is to get Kennedy back to his best on loan and then once he comes back Balde can go....

P.s. the story is likely to be * - don't read into it

There isn't anything on the Wolves website just yet. I'll keep an eye on it. The other one to check is the Express and Star which is the local evening paper. If I find anything out I'll post it.
If he has turned down such an offer he is a *.

The Express and Star have published the same rumour on their website - but they are not confirming it.

to be honest i've lost all respect for the big man. even if this story isnt true he's had an epl team and three championship teams offer him deals. this lad isnt intrested in football he's a greedy p***k. Celtic gave bobo his chance at the big time gave him a great contract, the fans loved him, now he's content with bleeding the club dry. thanks a lot bobo. i hope lawell makes him clean the toilets for his final year

Fair enough, we don't know the terms and conditions - OR if it even happened.

If the offer was on the table though, i'ts a disgrace.

Back of my mind - it has to be bonus based for a large part of it, as that's a vast amount of money for a team like Wolves.

I still say give them 250 k to help subsidise the deal, and get Dianbobo out of Glasgow.

If this is true, bobo is really starting to * me off. People talk him being a legend but if he's done that, he obviously doesn't give a * about the club, and is a greedy * without any ambiton.
